Aqva Amara / Bvlgari — diving back into the vault today whilst prepping for the start of my work week and a long forgotten Bvlgari gem : Aqua Amara. The opening is aquatic, citrusy, and fresh. The primary notes I get are Sicilian mandarin, watery notes, neroli, and Indonesian patchouli leaf, the Indonesian patchouli leaf lingers in the background as a subtly sweet and earthy accord, giving the opening just a touch of "dirtiness", but in the best way possible; similar to Terre d'Hermes. The dry down is still citrusy, aquatic, and fresh, and the primary notes are still the Sicilian mandarin and watery notes. In fact, the dry down is very similar to the opening. … if you want a decent clone/dupe look towards Paris Corner Amorist or for something “similar” but unique unto itself Mancera’a Aqua Wood

Back at work today after being sick Monday night and yesterday. This is a great office fragrance, but could easily be a signature. Its citrus opening, signature amaretto style almond, and woody base is classy, elegant, and versatile. Good performance and decent projection. It’s unique, high quality, smooth, well blended, and elegant overall.

I have slept on this house and am not really sure why. I tried Hacivat a year ago and didn't care for it; maybe that turned me off to the house. I picked up three recently and, WOW, I'm sure glad I did: Kredo: I love Tom Ford's Oud Wood but hate the abysmal performance, so I have never picked up a bottle. If you are looking for that type of scent profile that performs like a beast, this is it!! After seeing reviews like "this is Oud Wood on steroids" and "if Oud Wood had an elixir, Kredo would be it", I had to try it. Cardamom and Pink Pepper up top; Osmanthus in the mid; and Agarwood, Suede, and Sandalwood in the base. It's amazing! Wulong Cha: This was love at first sniff and is one of my new favorite freshies. It will definitely be getting a lot of wear this summer. Bergamot, Orange and Mandarin Orange in the open; Oolong Tea and Nutmeg in the mid; and Fig and Musk in the base. Could be a daily driver, gym fragrance, office scent, literally whatever. Excellent longevity. I am not good at gauging projection but I would call it soft to moderate. Gorgeous tea fragrance! Ani X: I am not a fan of gourmands or overly sweet fragrances and, while this one gets sweet in the dry down (lemon cake/creamy vanilla vibes), it manages to remain restrained and offers a lot of versatility. Lemon, Bergamot, Ginger, Melon and Cardamom up top; Green Apple, Black Currant, Lavender, and Patchouli in the mid; and Vanilla, Sandalwood, Cashmere Wood, and Cedar in the base. Amazing performance and an addictive dry down. This will be a perfect spring/summer date night fragrance.
