This weekend, I had the pleasure of trying out my mini bottle of 1 Million Golden Oud by Rabanne, which I picked up at a rack store. I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with this release. While I’ve always considered Royal to be my favorite in the Million line, Golden Oud has now taken the top spot. Upon the initial spray, I was greeted with a delightful combination of sweet but dark vanilla. The depth of the fragrance is enriched by a lovely leather note and the oud, which meld seamlessly with the vanilla. After about a minute, the spices and saffron typical of Middle Eastern fragrances come through, adding an intriguing complexity that makes it perfect for the colder months. As the scent evolves, the saffron and spices gradually fade, leaving behind a warm and inviting blend of vanilla, leather and oud that lingers throughout the wearing. In terms of performance, Golden Oud does not disappoint. I experienced around eight hours of wear from the initial spray. The scent projected well for the first hour, and in the second hour, I noticed a solid two feet of projection that lasted deep into the sixth or seventh hour, before it settled into a subtle skin scent by the eighth hour. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this release, especially considering it’s part of the Million line. If I can find it at a reasonable price, I believe it will definitely be worthy of a full bottle in my collection. If you enjoy rich, warm fragrances that exude sophistication, 1 Million Golden Oud is certainly worth a try!

I will start by saying this clone of Pegasus by Parfums de Marly is a great tribute and a beast of a performer. Clones for the most part, never capture the essence or kind of capture the essence of the OG, but this captured it all a rarity in fragrance actually this particular fragrance after owning the OG and replacing it with this not only captured the original fragrance, but expanded the scent profile probably because of the blending. This is a beast of a fragrance and last on my skin over eight hours this has excellent sage and anyone who is around me within 3 feet will smell it. I really can’t tell what the oil concentration really is on this because it is definitely stronger than Pegasus in reality. The performance on this is insane 12+ hours and I would say that it projects over four hours closer to 5 so if you like this kind of scent profile, this is the complete beast and for one of the very few times I would say that this clone company has excellent quality control. I have let this massive crate for a long time and in the opening now I get a creamy very smooth aroma that blew me away if you layer this with Naxos or Althair from time to time it is very awesome and gives you additional profiles that you normally wouldn’t get in other fragrances so it is very very versatile. I will give a shout out to @Andrew G. For pulling my attention to a fragrance that I had sitting on the shelf I never would’ve taken it off the shelf without his review.
