Slay the Scent: Intense Addiction by French Avenue
Intense Addiction by French Avenue is an Oriental Vanilla fragrance that has become popular within the niche inspired community. Released in early 2025 as part of the French Avenue lineup (a subsidiary of Fragrance World), the scent is a descent interpretation of Initio Parfums Privés' Addictive Vibration. It is marketed primarily as a feminine leaning or unisex fragrance that focuses on the honeyed warmth & delicate florals, but I quite like it and would easily wear this one. It's in the same vein as Ahmed Al Maghridi's Marj. The fragrance opens with a vibrant, airy bouquet, featuring the soft, powdery sweetness of apple blossom paired with a zesty touch of orange. As the initial brightness settles, the heart transitions into a rich, gourmand territory where the exotic elegance of orchid meets a creamy, prominent vanilla. This middle stage is where the addictive quality truly begins to surface, bridging the gap between floral freshness & edible sweetness. The dry down is deep and comforting, dominated by a luxurious wild honey note and a clean, sensual musk that grounds the composition, leaving a lingering trail. In terms of performance, Intense Addiction offers solid longevity, typically lasting between 6 hours, though it can endure even longer when applied to clothing. Its projection is moderate, it creates an intimate scent bubble rather than an overwhelming sillage, making it a polite powerhouse that draws people in rather than filling a room aggressively. Because of its dense honey and vanilla profile, it is best suited for the cooler months of autumn and winter, though its floral top notes allow it to work beautifully during crisp spring days. It is an ideal choice for evening wear, date nights, or formal occasions where a touch of sensual, refined sweetness is desired. My Rating 6.5/10 Scent 2 Longevity 2 Sillage 1.5 Y/N 1

Slay the Scent:  Pisa by Lattafa
Pisa by Lattafa that officially joined the house’s collection in early 2024. It's actually part of their prestigious Pride line, and not the niche emerati as the bottle would lead you too believe. Pisa is a Citrus Aromatic fragrance. As always the perfumer behind the scent is often kept under the Lattafa house umbrella, the fragrance has a clean, architectural inspiration, echoing the elegance of its Italian namesake. It begins with a vibrant opening, characterized by a zesty trio of mandarin, lemon, and bergamot. It's more bitter than sweet, I'm not a fan. As the sharp citrus edges begin to soften, the heart transitions into a singular, prominent note of cedarwood. This middle phase provides a dry, aromatic backbone that grounds the zest of the top notes with a sense of masculine strength and structure. Finally, the dry down settles into a warm and creamy foundation of sandalwood and amber. The sandalwood lends a smooth, velvety texture to the skin, while the amber provides a resinous warmth that ensures the fragrance remains sophisticated and inviting long after the initial spray. Pisa, for a citrus-dominant scent, performs ok, you can expect 4hrs on skin, with a moderate projection. It creates a scent bubble that is noticeable to those nearby without becoming overwhelming or cloying. Because of its bright, airy opening and warm woody base, it is exceptionally versatile across the seasons. To be honest if but this just for the bottle, it's a showpiece. Don't like the opening, but the drydown is rather good My Rating 5/10 Scent 1.5 Longevity 1.5 Sillage 1.5 Y/N .5
