Well today, I was going to do a first wear of Chopard Amber Malaki, popped on a few sprays, then I was getting some decants ready, for a trade. Well it went sideways, first the spray tube that I was using for Black Noir, leaked all over my hand, then I was doing a decant of Manhattan Midnight and when I reached for the atomizer, my sleeve hit the bottle and knocked it over, luckily I only spilled a couple of MLs.....SMH

The first of five Mancera decants sent over to me by the one and only @Thomas Chavez. This has been on my radar for sometime but haven’t gotten around to trying it until now. I don’t know why I waited so long because it’s great. This will be my initial impressions since I’ve had it on for a couple hours. I’ll update longevity and projection later. Right in first spray I could tell it’s a beast projector and man was it spicy to start. I got a big hit of the pink pepper mixed with the bergamot and yuzu. It’s not a spicy in the traditional sense since to me it comes off a lot more fresh. That spiciness lasted a good 30ish minutes. After that open the spiciness tones down a bit and gets slightly powdery sweet from the amber wood and violet. I was expecting a lot more of an amber scent to it because of the name. The name deceived me lol they should’ve named it Hint of Amber. So far I’m not picking up the cedar or oak moss but I’m sure it’ll peak through soon. I’ll keep you updated. ***update*** I went to bed around 2am and this was still projecting quite well. I did start to pick up more amber in the dry down (not as much as I expected) and some oak moss. The cedar was a bit faint but didn’t bother me since the oak moss was nice. Overall an excellent fragrance.
