Continuing my personal challenge to use up an entire sample from each letter of the alphabet. Thank you very much to @Ben E for sending this to me last year, and I'm sorry it took me so long to get to it. As I go through this alphabet challenge, I'm going to prioritize any samples or decants I've received from other brothers here. As it is, this was worth the wait. I really like the scent, and I can see why Ben likes it so much. Scent: 9.0 I have no idea why this was discontinued. I'm not the biggest Calvin Klein fan, but Eternity Summer 2011 is one of those limited edition releases that makes you wish CK would bring it back permanently. It opens with a mild sour citrus and then turns green and cooling. I love the hint of watermelon, along with the aquatic tones underneath it. It honestly reminds me a bit of Andrea Maack's Solstice, which has a similar rindy, aquatic watermelon note. I'm not trying to compare the two, but this does remind me of that, and it's wonderful to see a designer playing in that kind of territory 10 years prior. Performance: 6.0 I don't get a ton of longevity from this, and it's sillage is very quiet. It stays light and fresh, and as with many similar scents of this type, it tends to disappear quickly. Presentation; 7.0 I just got a decant, so I haven't seen the actual bottle up close. I'm judging off of photos and Parfumo for this, but the green bottle is really nice. I love when companies do fun releases like this. It lets them take some risks without the concern of diluting the brand or having it bomb. If it doesn't do well, they can easily discontinue it. If it does great, then maybe it sticks around a little longer. Perceived Value: 9.0 This is a discontinued limited edition, which means finding a bottle now requires some hunting. There are a few bottles here and there for around the $100 price point, which, for a 15 year old discontinued limited edition is a surprisingly good price point. Though bottles are few and far between.
