Today I’d like to give a shout out to @Nestor Lopez for sharing this decant of Guapo with me. I appreciate it Nestor. Now this fragrance caught me off guard because for some reason I thought this was one of the darker wintry offerings and it is not. Guapo is a musky, fresh spicy fragrance off of my skin which I think would shine in the spring and summer evenings. The ambroxan, white musk, vetiver and ambergris seem to be the stars of this fragrance. So far I’m not getting any tonka or apple. I’ll update this if any significant swings occur. So far I’m enjoying it but it definitely reminds me of something else. Not quite Sauvagish maybe more A&F fierce for men if there was such a thing.

acquired this sample on my saturday trip. and oh my stars am i in love. ive tried a lot of freshies before, i dont think very many come close to this one. definitely up there. opening notes are very bright and sparkly. think minty fresh mojito on a yacht. you get some citrus, mint, black currant, and a nice, soft, spicy edge with coriander. the middle notes are a very dominant, photorealistic and noticeable apricot, complimented by an herbal, floral slice of basil, carrot seed, and rose, before descending into a rich, fruity, musky base of fig and dates. this is ultimate vacation in a bottle. it’s bright, playful, yet mature with a sophisticated edge amongst the sweetness. an absolute compliment beast. i’ve gotten so many compliments from this one today. performance? absolutely amazing for a freshie. i get about 7-8 hours out of this, with fantastic projection, and that’s with just using the sample, although LV sample atomizers are genuinely amazing. only con is the price tag, but honestly after 4 months of careful budgeting, i think i could buy a full sized bottle. i’m at least looking to direct that amount of money for SOMETHING that high end, just not sure yet. but definitely consider this one.

There's so many different things I can learn; I can go as little or as far as I want with this hobby! But the REAL question is, how far do YOU want to go? The sky's the limit with fragrances! You can go through the course here and stay with a core group of frags, or you could take it further and learn about niche frags with the seasoned fragheads. Maybe you want to work your way up to getting a chance at the free bottle giveway. Or maybe we're all in the midst of the next John Stephen, Richard Herpin, Quentin Bisch or the likes of Master Perfumers Francis Kurkdjian or Gianni Versace ?! Up to YOU!
