Bottled Class
My favorite from the house, outdistancing even Bois de Portugal, which is a soon-to-be-vaulted masterpiece. Viking is an all-season 24/7 any-occasion tour de force. It opens with citruses and pepper and dries down to rose and vetiver and musk, but it’s essentially linear. It exudes class. I just bought a 100ml backup bottle. I never want to be without it.

SOTD: Jump by Joop! 19/06/2026
I’m a long-time fan of the Joop! Homme line, so going into Jump I had certain expectations — and right off the bat, this isn’t trying to copy the original. It stands completely on its own. Created by perfumer Sophie Labbé and released in 2005, it’s classified as an aromatic fougère, built to feel more modern and approachable than the brand’s bolder, more iconic releases. The opening is straightforward and clean: bright grapefruit hits first, paired with crisp rosemary and a tiny hint of caraway that adds just enough spice to stop it from feeling flat. As it settles, heliotrope brings a soft, powdery-sweet undertone while coriander keeps things fresh and slightly herbal. It never gets heavy or cloying — the transition from top to heart is smooth and uncomplicated. At its core, this is a youthful, no-fuss scent. The base warms gently with tonka bean, soft musk, and earthy vetiver, giving it enough staying power without turning thick or heavy. For me, it works perfectly for the gym, casual days, or warmer weather — it’s reliable, inoffensive, and does exactly what it’s meant to do, no extra frills required. My Rating 7/10 Scent 2.5 Longevity 2 Sillage 1.5 Y/N 1
