Today I'm wearing L'ELÉGANT from the House of MDCI. An EDP. Launched in 2021. A picy Woody olfative family fragrance. THE nose behind This fragrance Is Irené Farmachidi. It opens with Inciense, saffron and cardamom notes, in the middle cinnamon, nutmeg, honey, iris and sandalwood notes and finished with Oud touch, labdanum and lighty sweet Tonka Bean notes. A masculine elegant classy and Easy wear fragrance for all days and all ocations a safe Office fragrance with better performance in fall- winter seasons and cold days. A deligthful drydown with spices/Woody/ lighty sweet notes. Projection 3-4hrs Sillage 1mt Stay on skin 7-9hrs.

So I gave in to the hype and ordered a few travel sizes from the new House of Cosmo that arrived last month. I liked Polaris so much I went ahead and ordered a bottle - and here we are a month later and my bottle arrived. Polaris comes in a Smokey gray bottle, click cap but the presentation box seems to have a magnetic closure (the interesting to give the box and not the bottle a magnet, but whatever). I got two free sample sizes with the order. Since these literally just came off the line I’m going to let them macerate for a bit but I’m excited to add Polaris to my year-round roster.

Wearing the EDP from the Signature Collection to work again today. Originally launched in 2019 as a Private Blend and rereleased in 2020. It’s a modern take on the classic aromatic fougere. It opens with lavender that's fresh, slightly powdery, and herbal, evoking a vintage barbershop vibe but polished. The heart brings in green, aromatic notes with an earthy, herbal crispness and subtle floral and minty facets. The base settles into warm patchouli and amber giving it a musky, slightly sweet depth that feels confident and grounded without being heavy. Overall, it's a well groomed gentleman fragrance that’s masculine, classy, timeless, and sophisticated. It’s versatile for day or night, office to evening. Performance is solid with longevity around 8 hours and moderate projection (strong opening, then settles closer). It's not overly sweet or trendy, it's refined and mature. If you're into lavender driven scents with herbal greenness and a warm base, it's a winner. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a confident, modern barbershop fragrance that's still classic.
