The Perfect Gentleman‘s Fragrance
This is the other, the earlier, the superior Sauvage. This is the latest parfum reformulation of the 1966 EDT. It is richer, deeper, and much longer lasting, though not as bright as the OG, which I finally sold because it lasted only about 45 minutes on my skin. Not this. It starts off with citrus and lavender and settles into Haitian vetiver and elemi in the base. This is almost the perfect gentleman‘s fragrance. There’s nothing loud, screechy, sweet, blue, or synthetic about it. If you’re in love with the stereotypical modern designer profile, you won’t like this. If you’re a gentleman, you will like it.
