Tough loss to the 49ers last night by the Bears in an exciting game. Oh well... So LATE last night I think I was listening to an influencer or I read something but I was reminded that I have this on my shelves, and I haven't touched it in about a year. It's just been sitting there as I collected one or two bottles since that time. So I just blindly sprayed it figuring the worst that could happen would be that I'd piss my wife off in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, she was already sleeping when I got into bed, so naturally I had to wake her up and say "Hey... Wake up... What do you think of this stuff?" Oh she just LOVES it when I do that....🙄😁 She liked it. (Something tells me that's going to cost me in the very near future.🤑) Anyway, this is supposed to be a clone of Xerjoff's Erba Pura, which I never heard of a year ago, but have since tried numerous times at the H of D. I was really surprised how nice this was. It was very smooth, refreshing and for the money, the quality is exceptional! I think we all know that, regardless of the name, there is no actual oud in this fragrance. It's a fruity-gourmandy frag, which is usually not in my wheelhouse. The opening is a nice blast of bergamot, pineapple and maybe other fruits with some green notes in there. After reading about 5 dozen comments on fragranica an parfumo, I see a few comments mentioned a bit of a synthetic or shampoo-like scent on the top for a short while. I got none of that, but my bottle has been sitting on the shelf for a year, so... The mid continues with the fruity notes including melon and pineapple. Again, this is usually not my style, but it was a really nice change of pace! In the dry-down you finally pick up some musk, and amber with some woody notes. You can expect at least 8-10 hours from this. It's VERY easy to wear and apparently (survey says) leans a drop feminine. I don't agree with that, but in any case, I'll reach for it again sometime, somewhere. 7.5 / 10.0
