7 Game-Changing Resources Every Facilitator NEEDS To Know!!
Hey Facilitators!👋 I don't know if you remember, but awhile ago I asked you all about your favourite resources for facilitators and I got sooooo many amazing answers back! Thank you for your contributions 💛 Since then, we put together a video of our 7 favourites! These resources are packed with facilitation techniques, tips, tricks, workshop exercises, ice-breakers, and warm-up activities. In this video, I not only cover books but I also discuss tools that will help you run better and smoother remote workshops. Some of these resources are free, and some are paid. By the way, we DON’T get paid to promote any of these products. They’re just great, and we really like them. So if you’re looking to level up your facilitation game, then check out this video immediately 👉 https://youtu.be/bvGOFUeX9NY I go DEEP into these resources to show you what’s great about them and how to use them. So, give a big shout out to all of the authors and creators of these amazing resources! THANK YOU! Here they are in order of appearance: 1. Gamestorming by James Macanufo and Sunni Brown / Sun Kagami 2. Workshop Tactics Pip Decks by 🎴 Charles Burdett 3. Miro 4. The Surprising Power of Liberating Structures by Henri Lipmanowicz and Keith McCandless 5. SessionLab 6. FunRetrospectives by 🎯Paulo Caroli 7. Facilitator Club Free Community by AJ&Smart Have you tried any of the above resources before? Which one is your favourite?

Overall the most important take away for me was to keep all these levels in mind during a workshop. It’s a good reminder to keep your situational awareness fully up and running.
Higher Education, Public Health, Nonprofits and Fundraising
Long post: Looking for people using Workshopper in these fields. I'm launching my new business and have a background in public health, education and fundraising. The bulk of my fundraising is in grant writing, which is something that is much desired in my region. I do want to extend beyond my region, but have some great client potential as I transition. They WANT fundraising and a grant writing, which I want to support primarily through project development, collaboration and consulting. I don't want to write the grants for them, but with a strong project think that any group is better situated for finding. Often people find the a grant, make up a project and submit it without much planning or thought. I know that planning a project then finding a grant that fits the project is a much better approach for the organization and the project. Anyone else use workshopper in this way? Anyone else in education, public health or the nonprofit sectors?

Just getting started on my facilitation journey, but right now I am excited about working with nonprofits.
Difficult Participants
During one of my team building programs, a very exciting participant wasn't satisfied about the result and she argued loudly and aggressively demanding extra points for her team, and this is the moment for us as facilitators to show our strength and wisdom, it was very tough moments for me, how to handle it, because if I let it go it ll ruin the whole program, I changed the debriefing around that point and linked it with the objectives of the game and involved her at the discussion along the way several times, later I had a conversation with the manager who were attending, she told me that I was watching and waiting for you to handle it :) - Have you eve faced a vert tough participant or similar situation ? - How you handled the situation, or what tools you used?

Getting and setting expectations is so important, along with really articulating the goals of the workshop. Seems like you handled it well. Thanks for sharing.
