How to Start From Scratch With No Audience
I would start with where you can find your audience easily if they are on Skool, I would start here and build value in the groups if they are on another platform, I would go all-in for that platform that looks different on different platforms for example, with Facebook, I would start a group, then friend 50 laser targeted people a day, invite them to the fb group (for congruence) then immediately invite them to Skool with linkedin - I would do 50 connection requests a day, then hold a weekly live event, then I would announce my skool group in the weekly live event and message privately and offer them something special for coming to your group here and a similar strategy in different social, depending on how that social platform operates Hope this helps

@Sean Mize ok cool but the question is, free or paid Skul group?
2 likes • 26d
@Sean Mize hmmm ok - I done a bit simillar method, mainly used my YT channel and the group was growing ok eventually to pass 100 users. However nobody was interested to buy any of my paid stuff. I think the main problem was that a lot of people who joined my group was from India. So from now I'm not allowing them to join my mailing list, LD group and my FB group. I'm thinking to restart my Skul free group using Youtube plus linkedin events.
How to move your Facebook Group to Skool
This is for you if you have a Facebook group. You are trying to figure out the best way to move your Facebook group to Skool, or if moving is right for you. This post will answer both questions. Post contents page: 1️⃣ Should I move? 2️⃣ How to move? 3️⃣ Should you keep your Facebook Group open? 4️⃣ Will your members transition from Facebook to Skool? --- 1️⃣ // Should I move? Skool groups are fun, engaged, and profitable. Facebook Groups have restricted reach, low engagement, and are difficult to maintain. People that move from Facebook to Skool do not regret their decision. @Evelyn Weiss had 11,000 paying monthly members in Facebook groups. But since moving to Skool her groups became more engaged, her reach is not restricted, and she’s making more profit. Here’s what she said after moving from Facebook to Skool: “If I could start over again from scratch, I wouldn't want to build anywhere else but on Skool. Facebook is restricting our paid reach down to an average 300 out of 6500 members in our biggest group, the Coach Growth Hub inner circle. If you think $99 per month is a lot, pay for training someone to be a qualified coach to answer questions within 24h on weekdays and for someone else to hunt for members who don't pay but keep consuming your content and support in your communities. Last year, I paid $367k to fulfill my memberships promises. I think if I were on skool only, it would be a fraction of that AND a much more enjoyable experience and more meaningful community for my clients. You're in the right place at the right time. Just get to work.” --- 2️⃣ // How to move? / Step 1: Get your Skool group ready for the transition To prepare for the transition, add everything valuable from your Facebook group into your Skool group. Courses, welcome post, and calendar events. To incentivise people to switch, add one valuable thing in your Skool group that isn’t in your Facebook group. You can either make something before you launch, or promise people that something valuable is coming soon.

@Zahida A Khan Well, there are some good points, but I teach about boring IT stuff, and typically, people need to be more excited about it. I gave them access to my best free resources, which was a mistake. Free means shit - I also don't feel it. I am happy to answer some questions on my group, but how can I make money on it if they already know the answer?

@Zahida A Khan Yeah true, I still am able to find clients for my workshop which is 1K. I was very hoping Skul can help me with this so far email plus my YT works the best.
Lead Magnet inside my Group
Hey guys, I have a question regarding my new lead gen strategy. My group is public, and I have a few lead magnets as PDFs in my group. It works very well because they need to create an account if they want it to download. However, I want to add a video course as a lead magnet and force people to create an account. I'm sure I can only do it byt adding level 1 to the course; however, from the feedback that I have, the message on the course is a bit confusing as they don't know how to get to level 1, so right now, I added a short description, on the course saying: Please create account to get access to this course. Do you have other ideas on how I can do it? I appreciate any help you can provide :)

@Jamie Ogilvy Yes, I agree with you. I'm just an idiot, sending two emails and expecting people to respond. I've been preparing a long campaign for almost 60 days, including loom videos embedded in email. Thanks again!

Anybody in IT Industry?
Hey guys, does anybody have a group dedicated to IT services? I am in the process of restarting my group dedicated to Jira and project management, and I'm wondering if you can share some tips :)

@Erika Kulpina Oh nice! So many IT groups I have a lot of inspiration now, thanks :)
Lock discussion categories
I want certain categories to only be available to people based on courses enrolled. My full migration to Skool depends on it 😉

@Melissa Monte I wish that I could use it for my students too. Also lack of comments for each lessons or under a course is another issue for me.
