Muay Thai Fighter’s WOD
I have been training this fighter since May based of Phil’s methods of training and templates. he has a fight coming up in less than 2 weeks to defend his belt💪🏼 This fight camp was a little different as he began to have shoulder pain. He gave it rest/recovery. I have been promoting shoulder mobility exercises and nothing over the head or strenuous. Today I am happy that he reported today no shoulder aches or pains during skills training, sparring, or in conditioning. Only ache is he puts something heavy on it outside of training He has been recovering well. During fight week we will focus on mobility of the joints as his workout

AM WOD
This week I have started implementing my morning workout as a skills session as a part of my morning routine. As well as my second workout of the day in the evening as another skills session and/or strength and conditioning I am blessed to be able to learn Jui Jitsu brand new with friends. This experience has caused me to move my body in new ways, to appreciate the need for mobility and strength training with the sport itself, as well as appreciate the impact Jui Jitsu has on bettering Muay Thai practice

@Megan Barb ye it’s was great fun, tbf it was a lot more fun than I expected. We’ve both got good mobility we stretch and do hip and shoulder mobility work every time we train so no aches and pulled joints ( yet) we did end up getting in some very uncomfortable positions 😂 I can see why it takes 10 yrs to become black belt there so much to it.
Tighten up loose ends
What I’m feeling / thinking: I’ve been in my emotions more than usual. A lot of family have passed over the last six months, and that weight is real. Still, I continue to move forward. Grief doesn’t stop the work, but it does sharpen perspective. What I’m focused on: Cleaning up and tightening any loose pieces in my programs. Precision matters. Strong systems reduce noise and create clarity for both athletes and coach. Obstacle and plan: Energy remains the main challenge. The plan is discipline with sustenance — eating properly, fuelling consistently, and giving the body what it needs to keep going.
