Sweet or salty
What are your biggest cravings before your period? Lately, I want to eat as much spicy, salt and lime as possible 🌝!

Doctors and period pain
Hi everyone! Something that I'm very curious to hear about is whether any of you have found valuable help from doctors. I have very debilitating period pain, and I'm still seeking a way to deal with it. But anytime I tried to talk to a doctor about it (either my general doctor or my gynecologist), their answer was just prescribing painkillers or birth control. Which are not good for me because I'm allergic to painkillers and I don't want to go on birth control. So, I'm curious to know what your experience with doctors was, and if it was a positive one, what kind of doctor was it? And in which country? (I'm Italian, by the way)

I’ve only received the same feedback if I asked about my period : pain killers and even antidepressants. I went to a naturopath instead to help me with my symptômes and she was way more helpful than anyone else.
Menstruation and sadness
I once heard this phrase: the first days of your period and what you do is how you deal with the sadness. There is an opinion that the first days of menstruation are a time when the body “cries” because pregnancy has not occurred. And although we may not consciously plan a child, our body does a huge job every month, preparing a “house”. I usually want to be on bed, drink hot tea, eat chocolate and watch movies. And it's the same for just sadness and menstruation. And how do you live these days? Have you noticed that your habits during menstruation and during ordinary sadness coincide?

I feel like m’y period sadness and my « regular » sadness are also similar. Im on day three of my period today and was watching the ufc and wanted to cry. Like really??? Getting emotional about men fighting, the crowd cheering. I guess it’s just too much

What does "trust your body" mean?
Hi loves, I just posted something new on Substack. It was supposed to be about the technical side of strengthening immunity to clear HPV protocols, support, the practical stuff. But when I finished writing, I realized it was actually about something else. Something without which no lifestyle change ever works: Trust in your body. And right after I published it, I got a testimonial from a woman in my last group coaching cohort. Different story, same idea: she was saying how she started trusting her body more. So I'm curious. Have you had a moment, an experience, a phase in your life that helped you trust your body more? Big or small, physical or emotional. And what does it actually mean to you? I'd love to hear your stories. Link to the Substack post here: 🔗 https://open.substack.com/pub/thesyncway/p/the-breadcrumbs-i-didnt-know-i-was?r=6bssn1&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

Such an important topic! It took a long time to know what that meant as I had a lot of mental issues and eating disorder for a long time. Not until I completely got rid of my ED (which obviously didn’t help with my cycle) was i able to trust and know what my body/mind were really needing and craving. That was about 5 years ago (im 36 now) so it’s been a long road! But now I’m more comfortable in knowing what I need vs what I want.
