Be Real
I am real as they come. I don’t posture, pretend, or perform for approval. My word carries weight because my actions back it up. I stand on my values, take responsibility, and handle what’s in front of me. I show up when it’s hard, stay solid under pressure, and don’t fold when things get uncomfortable. I don’t need validation to know who I am. I move with integrity, self-respect, and quiet confidence.

The quiet professional always speaks volumes in a room full of noise and ego.
Road to Success
Finishing up week 2 of studying for the CSCS cert and it’s allowing me to look deeper intro training modalities. With a background in tactical training, I’m starting to see how limit some soldiers are when it comes to training with biomechanics in mind. Perfect example is change of direction after single box drop. As complicated as it may seem, jumping out of a vehicle (dismount) and getting into cover with full kit is the transferable skill delivered from the change of direction jump. Took the uniform off but still have love for it🫡

@Megan Barb Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. I have been putting it to the side for a while now and I think now is the time to pursue.

@Seth Morris Thank you for the feedback. To test cardiovascular endurance, the tactical population tend to go straight to running. There are numerous ways to train and test for cardio and one of my go to is the assault bike/stationary bike for. This population already has issues with high impact on the joint from the hips down. Stationary bikes take away some of that stress and bring the focus of lung capacity to the forefront.

First ruck in the books
20# of weight, My goal was to push most of this into zone 2 but I struggled to do so until closer to the finish. Front of my shins/ankles was burning after the first little bit, worked past that and fatigue started to set in my legs and feet. Certainly have a new appreciation for rucking, will continue to incorporate it a few times a week and build on that.

Nice Pace! This inspires me to put some ruck miles on paper. Do you have a specific pair of shoes for rucking?
Discipline
“Either improve your discipline, or lower your desires” When I saw this, I had to share because it’s relevant in my life right now. No one wants to accept what they did not strive for. When you lower your standards, you’re allowing failure to consume your process and diminish your confidence. Increasing my discipline has led to better decision-making, improved focus, and fortification of my leadership. Maintain high standards and discipline and your desires will follow👑
