Today’s training
Was able to push myself harder on this ruck session. Got up into zone 2 more. May need to bump up the weight a little to see the work I really want here. HR would drop down to zone 0-1 real quick if I wasn’t focused on pushing.

Atomic Habits, Chapter 22 – “The Role of Feedback”
Awareness precedes improvement. How I’ll apply it today: I’ll review one habit honestly — what’s working, what’s slipping — and adjust without emotion.

you can’t improve without adaptation
When coaching junior athletes (5–14), what do you feel is the biggest needle-mover for learning and development?
I’m currently refining our Junior MMA program and would love insight from coaches and athletes alike. Beyond the poll, what have you personally seen work best when coaching kids aged 5–14? What actually helps them learn faster, build confidence, retain skills, and enjoy the process long enough to develop long term? Systems, stories, wins, mistakes — all welcome.

I’ve not worked with kids in this age group in a while, but something I heard the other day may help with some of the application of the approach here. You as a coach are able to shape these kids with even simply your words. If we tell a child they are good at something over and over again it shapes their way of thinking, and encourages them to get even better because they see it as something they are good at. However if we tell them they are bad over and over it will have the opposite effect, the confidence is destroyed, the enjoyment and effort follow suit.
Morning Message – Day 10
Good morning. Today’s 800 meters of lunges aren’t just about legs—they’re about faith under pressure. In Mark 4:38–40, the disciples were in the storm, afraid, exhausted, questioning if Jesus even cared. Yet He was already in the boat. Present. Sovereign. Unshaken. Some days the work feels heavy. The progress feels slow. The storm feels loud. But just like today’s steps, obedience doesn’t stop because conditions aren’t perfect. Lunge anyway. Trust anyway. Move forward anyway. When fear speaks up, answer with faith. When doubt creeps in, keep stepping. The same Jesus who calmed the storm is with you in every rep, every stride, every moment. Stay steady. Stay faithful. Finish strong. #Lunge4Jesus #1BibleVerseEveryDay #StepsOfFaithLungeClub

It’s so humbling to think how we would act in that same situation. Is easy to think we’d realize who’s in control, but these men were with Jesus night and day. If anyone would have known it would have been them. It’s so easy to lose sight of who is in control.
Not sure where to start.
After reading everything and looking at all the programs, I was wondering how to get the best possible start as a Muay Thai fighter and regular gym practitioner. I’ve been out of shape for a few months, and any advice would be helpful, especially since I can’t get access to the 12-week conditioning program, which was my first idea to start with..
