Day 3 ☑️ Before - committed After - grateful Three days in now, I am grateful to have found this community where I can hold myself accountable. I was on a lone mission to make myself better, haphazard practices, practicing when I felt like it with no real direction. Now, in this structured community, I am dedicating regular times to more educated practices. 🙏💪

Well said Wes, and just to add, you are not alone.. 😀
I am really starting to get this now..
Ok I am still on amateur night level.. but.. I feel that I now have a grasp of how I can work through the wealth of material that we have here.. I have looked at a few of the introductory sessions and know where I am going to concentrate It is actually SO much easier than I had thought when I started out.. thanks team..

Hi everyone! One of our core missions is to provide an online practice space where you can learn Tai Chi and Qigong in an efficient and effective way. We’re always looking for ways to optimize your experience and make your practice more organized and intentional. With that in mind, we’ve restructured the Weekly Live Session Classroom. Old Format 👉 Live sessions were organized by month only. (Hard to navigate which classes included which practices, and it could feel overwhelming) NEW Format 👉 You will still see this month’s live sessions (and the previous month’s) listed as usual. 👉 After two months, all live sessions will be reorganized into CATEGORIZED practice series. What this means... for example, - If a weekly Qigong session focuses on Elemental Qigong, it will be placed inside the "Elemental Qigong" folder. - If a Qi & Flow session focuses on Tai Chi fundamentals, it will be placed inside the "Tai Chi Fundamentals" folder. Simple as that! No more guessing which class includes what practice! This way, you’ll be able to find exactly what you’re looking for—faster and more easily—without scrolling through months of recordings. Each session will also include a brief summary, so you can quickly understand what was covered and take notes more effectively. We hope this makes your study clearer, more structured, and easier to revisit over time. And as always, if you have any feedback—now or in the future—please feel free to share it. Your voice truly matters to us, and we deeply appreciate your input. Happy practicing, Rooted Alchemy fam!🌱

Hey that is great news.. I have recently been starting to work my way through the archive, this will help a lot.. 😁
So I am trying not to sound like a heretic here…
I’ve just finished day four and things are going very well. My question is as follows… In my daily Training I am used to doing some form of Low impact exercise, plus I always add on at least 30 minutes of cardio. Either cycling or elliptic or more intensive weight training.. has anyone got any suggestions as to what would be complementary and work well with the program here or am I just trying to get ahead of myself?

Thanks very much @Lucas Brun this is how I am viewing it, I do quite a bit of HIIT work with dumbbells, and all of these elements will help, grounding especially…

Thanks Sonny, I am looking forward to it..
Does Anyone Else....
Funny how things are connected. As with my Aikido journey I would find myself, feeling the hips, knees, ankles, feet while moving /or shoveling/ or pushing the lawn mower; maintaining and extending the centerline while preparing dinner, feeling the shoulders settle draping from the center; tracing the steering wheel to get the feel of circular arm movement while maintaining a tall center during the drive. I find myself starting to do the same things after Qi Gong / Tai Chi practice - feeling full foot pressure, the foot ankle, knee, hip while moving around the kitchen, feel yourself settling as you reach for something. We had a snow storm yesterday and I spent 3 hrs. moving snow - I think we should develop a move set called "Moving Snow" LOL!! While doing this I started to feel the difference from mindless shoveling to mindful shoveling - feeling full foot pressure, pushing and throwing from the feet, breathing out on the throw , attempting to balance and coordinate the three. Anyone else find themselves practicing without practicing. This is just how I approach things. Somatic, present intention and then back to just doing things.
