Best way to set up a professional email with a new domain name?

So I just discovered that there is a domain name available that I could purchase instead of my old domain name for my website which would have my club name instead! Iyay!) This will be a good step toward making club the center of my offering. Before I purchase though, I'd like some advice. There is an option to add a professional email with my name @ thedomainaddress . com but it has a monthly fee. When L was on staff she had mentioned it was possible to get an address like this associated with my website for free, and she was going to walk me through how to do that, but we never got around to troubleshooting before she left. What I'm wondering is if she was correct and I can go ahead and purchase the domain without adding the extra fee for a professional email and hopefully get someone's help here to point me in the direction of how to set that up? Or, shall I just purchase it? Thanks for advice!
