Today I’m seven years sober!
I’m grateful for every day of my sobriety. And so glad to be on this entrepreneurial journey with you all. Looking forward to helping others stay sober and live their version of Recovery 2.0!

Town Hall: Navigating Overwhelm While Staying Authentic
Meeting Recap 04-08-2026: Session by @Patrick Garlinger This Town Hall created space for honest conversation around the realities of balancing personal challenges with professional responsibilities. Participants shared experiences of burnout, “shiny object syndrome,” and feeling stretched across too many commitments, while also navigating family, health, and life transitions. The core insight was that growth doesn’t require having everything perfectly together—it requires clarity, boundaries, and the willingness to show up authentically while still holding professional integrity. By simplifying priorities, focusing on what truly matters, and allowing space for imperfection, participants were reminded that sustainable progress comes from alignment, not overload. What we covered: - Recognizing burnout and overwhelm from too many commitments - Letting go of distractions and “shiny objects” to regain focus - Balancing personal challenges with professional responsibilities - Showing up authentically while maintaining professional standards - Creating space for self-care and emotional processing Key Takeaways - Overcommitment often leads to burnout and lack of clarity. - Focus comes from choosing priorities, not adding more tasks. - Authenticity builds connection, even when things feel messy. - Personal challenges don’t disqualify you from showing up professionally. - Simplifying your focus creates more sustainable progress. Next Steps - Identify and eliminate one non-essential commitment this week. - Choose your top priority and focus your energy there. - Create space in your schedule for rest and self-care. - Reflect on where you may be overloading yourself unnecessarily. - Practice showing up authentically while maintaining clear boundaries. P.S. You don’t need to do everything—you just need to stay aligned with what matters most. Watch Recording: VIMEO link

Town Hall Is Tomorrow!
Please join me tomorrow at 4 pm ET for our community building session in which we'll take up the topic that was on the agenda for the last session: Working while Healing. Whether we're dealing with grief, in the middle of a tough situation with a loved one, or simply facing new challenges in your life, it can be hard to find the right balance between healing and working. If you're still building your club, it can be easy to push pause on WPA. If you're already leading your club, it's a delicate balance how much to share with those you're guiding and taking care of yourself while still showing up for the work. Come listen and share so that we can better understand each other and where we're at while we build, launch, or lead our clubs.

@Meghann Jacobs so glad you made it today!
Town Hall Tonight - Canceled!
I’m very sorry, but I have to cancel today’s Town Hall. I’ve spent the entire day at an animal hospital with one of our kitties, getting her a CT scan and a fine needle aspiration for a possible tumor on her lung, and everything has taken much longer than anticipated. I’m waiting for follow-up from the doctor on whether the tests showed it was an abscess or cancer and what the next steps might be. I truly hate to postpone, but this too is part of our work—handling with as much skill and grace the curveballs that life throws our way. Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to connecting with everybody on the next call. @Cate Stillman @Lynn Beck @Tamanna Zahan - can somebody jump on at 4 pm ET to let anybody who doesn’t see this and shows up know that it’s canceled?

@Cate Stillman thank you—and will do!
Next Town Hall -- Working While Healing
In our previous town hall happy hours, we've engaged in mostly light-hearted connections while also allowing space for some of the heavier topics, like doubt and fear around being entrepreneurs. For the next session, which is next Wednesday, March 25 at 4 pm ET, I'd like to open a dialogue around working while healing (thank you @Lynn Beck for this framing). Together, we'll explore what that means for how you show up when leading your clubs, how much you share with your members, and how to take care of yourself in the process. Grief and mourning, physical and emotional healing, and facing limiting beliefs are all on the table for discussion. Just an FYI -- I don't serve as a coach for these sessions. I'm here to facilitate conversations that foster connection among members. For this topic especially, my goal is to provide some guidance and structure and allow the the collective wisdom of the group to emerge organically.
