Thrive : Habit Coaching is happening in 3 days
Give yourself the gift of an intentional calendar this December!
It’s December 2, and I cleared my calendar of auto-scheduled, repeating activities, specifically for the time that I'll be traveling with family. 📅Guiding Questions for Your December and early January Calendar Before you accept another meeting or assume a task still holds relevance, ask yourself these two questions: - Does this serve my goal for the month? (Think: Meeting Member Cap, Hubs, Leads, Free Talks, wind-down, key projects, rest, etc.) - Does it honor my real-life reality? (Travel dates, energy levels, family rhythm, etc.) ✨ Your 10-Minute Calendar Check Up Take 5–10 minutes today to: - Review your calendar for December and first half of January. Note where your non-negotiables (like travel or family events) are landing. Did you see on the WPA calendar that the January Workshop dates are posted? Save the date for January 15 and January 16. The workshop is called: CLUB HERO 4-Month Planning. This was formerly referenced as the Master of Your Workshop. If possible, now is the time to clear your calendar so you can fully take in both days. - Cancel or Reschedule: Be ruthless. Cancel or reschedule recurring tasks, meetings, or calls that no longer align with your current intention or energy. Just because it’s recurring doesn't mean it’s essential right now. - Update Your Availability: Crucially, update your appointment/booking links (or block off time manually) so people cannot book when you are genuinely traveling, offline, or focusing on high-value, deep work. How did this work for you? What is the one thing you confidently removed from your calendar to make space this season? Share it in the comments! 👇

Time management
Hey everyone! I’m really digging into time blocking. Thank you again @Lynn Beck for this video: https://youtu.be/IbVUxbSQtGk?si=uLQbG3meRd9JyEYH And @Patrick Garlinger for your tough love ❤️ on the topic! Totally appreciate it! We talked about blocking every task on your calendar instead of a to do list. I just came across this app (screenshot below)and wondered if anyone else uses this or something other than Google calendar which is what I currently use w/ some color coding for meetings and events, but currently writing down to dos (for my studio and festival). I know this might sound really basic for some, but it’s how I’ve slipped so far behind in WPA because I haven’t adopted a system to lock in my time around building assets and watching videos. I’m really looking to get back on track and would love to hear how others stay organized and on task and BONUS if you geek out over it and it’s FUN! I also use Notion for organizing notes and dumping AI responses.
Time management
How does your Calendar 🗓️ look for next week?
I’ve generally been the type of person who manages time pretty well (or so I thought), but after reading just 42 pages of the book, Slow Productivity by Cal Newport, I’m now realizing there’s always room for improvement—and more importantly, room for a shift in how we think about time. ✨✨Mind set shift alert!!✨✨ I recently stumbled upon a few videos with Call Newport that really are changing the game for me, and I think they’ll help if you’re someone who struggles with managing your time. One of my more recent favorites is by Leila Hormozi, where she talks about organizing your calendar into “Maker” and “Manager” time. It’s an approach that makes balancing deep work and day-to-day tasks much more manageable. I'm realizing that operating in a hybrid role requires me to have more calendar integrity because of the switching of roles. Here are a couple takeaways as previews to what additional gems you may find in the content. 🎥 ✨ Takeaway 1: If a task is time-specific, it goes on the calendar. If not, you have the flexibility to work it in when it makes sense for you. ✨ Takeaway 2: Divide your time into "Maker" (deep work) and "Manager" (meetings, emails, quick tasks) blocks. Once you’ve set that structure, it’s a lot easier to prioritize what needs to get done. Time management can feel overwhelming because life happens, but trust me, starting with small changes like these can make a huge difference.
November 12 Cross-Posting - Calendar and Time Management
I can answer some of your calendar and time management questions over in the Future You call on Wednesday. The conversation is intended to look at our calendar from an integrated perspective. ✨✨✨✨ November 12 Future You Session – The Energy of Enough: Protecting Your Capacity for Rest The cultural script for the holidays is often more, busy, rush. Your Future You moves with rhythm and ease. This session is your strategic pause before the end-of-year sprint. We will focus on identifying where you may be doing too much and setting a boundary-based plan to protect your rest and rhythm, framing rest as a core capacity strategy. ✨ Join me to explore: - The Great "No": Finalizing your "Do Not Do" list (building on the Oct. 22 'Raising Your Floor' concept) to block the energy leaks that typically surface in December. - Capacity Check-in: Does your holiday calendar and social life align with your core values and energy?
