[ME WK 3; PROMPT 1] What if you just gave yourself permission?
When I was doing my inventories I found myself censoring items I'd 'allow; myself to add to the inventory, especially in the What I Want inventory. I'd tell myself: >> That doesn't really count. It's silly. >> I could never really do that. >> I don't think I could pull that off. >> Who am I to think I could do that? >> What would _________________ think? (Fill in the blank. This seems to be a universal fear we all have). >> Don't be ridiculous. That's so far out there. But, I gave myself permission to write them down anyhow. So, for today a question: What if you threw caution to the wind and gave yourself permission to write EVERYTHING down on your inventories. >> The stuff that feels 'too out there'. >> The stuff you don't want to admit (I had this in Lessons Learned and Experiences) >> The stuff you're afraid to want. >> The stuff you absolutely adore, but have never really admitted it to the universe before. Give yourself permission to write in ALL down.
[ME WK 2; PROMPT 2] - Are the inventories getting easier?
Hi, We're still working through the 4 inventories, from The Big Book of You, v2 in our Meet Yourself On Paper Micro Experiment [ME]. It might feel like we hovering on the same exercise (because we are) all month, but i know from experience this is a layered exercise. At first, it's pretty easy to come up with the obvious items for our inventories: official skills, degrees, day-to-day things you love and/or are great at. What happens, though, is once you start letting your mind think about it, more items surface. Your inventory becomes more detailed and more nuanced. The goal is to gather as much 'data' about yourself as possible so you have more to work with when we start doing 'Connect The Dot' exercises (the focus of our February MicroExperiment, Part 2 of The Big Book of You, v2). ❓Are the inventories getting easier?❓How?❓ Drop your thoughts in the comments below; or, create your own post.

Meet Yourself on Paper: A 30-Day Foundation Experiment
[ME: Week #1|Prompt #1] Share the first three things on your inventory list.
Welcome to Week #1 of our first [ME] micro-experiment: Meet Yourself on Paper. We're starting the four inventories! Sometimes getting started is the hardest part, so let's keep this simple. Your Big Book of You, v2 should be approached like a grocery list: Bullet points, fast phrases, quick thoughts. The Quick Three: Scan your house, or your phone: What are 3 things you can inventory about yourself? Paste them below to get 'first posts' out of the way. Remember the inventories cover: Skills Interests Experiences and Lessons Dreams and Environment. And, we're simply getting in the habit of noticing ourselves and getting reacquainted with who we are. No need to analyze anything. I've put mine below. Now, your turn.

We're not doing any analysis yet - just beginning the process of documenting ourselves. 🔎ASSIGNMENT: Comment below with an inventory A-HA from this week's preliminary inventories. >> Did you remember something about yourself you hadn't thought about in a long time? >> Were you surprised by how many things you could add to your inventories? >> Were you surprised it was challenging to come up with things for your inventories? Next week, we'll begin diving a bit deeper. For now, let working through your inventories be easy. Also - great work using the Community thread. I love seeing your posts and seeing you interact with each other. I know we're building something special here. 🤩
