First time getting a MTM suit. The stylist suggested this shade of gray and with a shorter jacket to give me better proportions. For reference I am just under 5'8", slim but a little skinny fat. I think I have disproportionately short legs compared to my torso. For comparison, I've attached some pictures of an off-the-rack suit from Brooks Brothers that I had tailored recently. To me, the MTM looks baggy in the midsection and is too short, and I thought the Brooks Brothers suit looked good. Am I crazy?

It’s the FIRST day of a brand New Year!! Like a little kid I love a new day, week or year!! The future is unwritten and we can make it what we want. It’s so exciting! 2026 is going to be a great year. I can feel it. It will have its ups and downs and challenges but it’s going to be great because I can make it that way!! My mindset won’t allow struggles to do anything but motivate me further. So today after spending a relaxing morning with my bride and lunch at a diner. I went back to projects. I have a deep desire to feel productive everyday so I spent this afternoon doing projects. Laundry, restoring a pair of friends shoes and sanding and oiling cedar planks for the closet so I don’t have a repeat of the Clothes moths massacre summer 2025!! Wishing you all an amazing 2026!! Road trip to Melbourne, about 750km (approx 460miles) to catch up with Bones. Real name Nathan Morony, we gave him the nickname Bones because of the Boney Morant song and the fact he was and still is such a skinny guy. Today's outfit consists of; M.J. Bale Alcantara Linen Suit in Sand (Jacket hanging on the back Of the seat), MacPac Merino Wool and Tencil lightweight Polo in Seaweed green, Ecco Double Monks in Chocolate, Freshly cleaned, Dune London striped socks.
