Looking good! Safe travels!
Date Night
Getting ready to take my lovely bride of 30 years out for date night in one of my favorite warm-weather combinations — linen on linen. The sage green linen shirt and cream linen trousers create an effortless balance of texture, breathability, and relaxed tailoring. Both pieces are cut clean without being restrictive, allowing the natural drape of the fabric to do the talking. Grounding the outfit is a rich chocolate pair of Allen Edmonds horsebit loafers, adding just the right amount of sophistication and contrast. Comfortable, timeless, and proof that dressing well for your wife never goes out of style.

So much more…..
Many of us joined RMRS to better ourselves from a daily clothing ascetic and improve the way we ultimately dress and look on a daily basis. But I think there’s so much more to growth as a Real Man through mental, manners, and how to be a gentleman. That being said, one thing I’ve taken is also the accountability that we subconsciously place on ourselves by choosing to post our OOTD and allow ourselves to be critiqued by our brothers and sisters. This brings me to my point, I’ve fallen into a complacency with my daily outfit as many days this is my standard “uniform” of jeans, company logged polo and various levels of footwear depending on my destination that day. The one thing I overlooked is the aforementioned accountability. I’ve made some great connections and friends within the community and my daily post helped me greatly on the weightloss journey and battle through PT and shoulder surgery. I have become lackadaisical as of late in my posts and have seen that it has trickled down to other aspects of my life, specifically my “food” life and began slowly putting some of the weight I’ve lost back on. This being said, personally I look at this community as so much more than an opportunity to look better, it’s an opportunity to become a better dresser, person, friend, and brother. I’ve returned to the commitment level I had before during my journey and have lost the weight I gained and have the focus to reach my goal. I’m not asking for thanks or pomp and circumstance here, merely a tip of the hat.

Roller-coaster ride. I've had swings both ways. Harder as you get older.

@Sean Kavanaugh Yep
Don't ever be finished!!
I've spent more and more time reflecting and looking towards the future. One thing I have always believed in that the rearview mirror is smaller than the windshield for a reason. You are supposed to spend more time looking ahead than looking behind!! While you still need to see where you've been for lessons learned and context to move forward, but you shouldn't be dwelling on the things that you can't change. Your BEST days are still ahead of you! In some of my self reflection, I have been thinking about the phrase TGIF (Thank God it's Friday). This has never been a sentiment that I have embraced. It has a conotation that "it's over", "coast", "nothing left to do". I find it to be the complete opposite. Things in motion tend to stay in motion. We as humans need to be in motion. While your work week may be ending, it doesn't mean your life is dead, or nothing left to do. We should be going into the weekend with the same sense of purpose we go into the beginning of the work week or more importantly every day. ie: ATTACK everyday!! LIVE everyday!! LOVE everyday!! BE intentional EVERYDAY!! This is how I wake up every morning and go to bed every evening, saying these things to myself. And Thanking God every day for another chance to be here! OOTD: Blue/Grey Hugo Boss Sport Jacket Medium Blue Dress trousers with "Turn ups" or Cuffs Navy with red Shadow Stripe OTC Dress Socks Margaux Patina'd Cap toe Oxfords with matching belt Blue/Silver with Burgundy Edge Pocket Square. Wishing you all a wonderful Friday and an amazing weekend ahead!
