For the First Sunday in Lent I choose my Micheal Kors charcoal suit that has a purple sheen to it, a lavender dress shirt, a purple tie with white paisleys, a different purple paisley pocket square and black cap toe oxfords from Johnston and Murphy. My braces are also purple and today’s hat was my purple Goorin Bros narrow brim fedora. Robin decided we needed to show both of the banners on the alter so she took a picture from two different angles.

People who lose love to talk about how much easier winners had it. They think success is about being born in the right circumstances or getting lucky. The truth is the vast majority of the people who win big started with shit they had to crawl out of. They weren't given opportunity. They were given chaos. They were given pain. They were given circumstances so uncomfortable they would do anything to escape them. They were left with no other option but to put it on their back and carry it. They learned to fight early. They built strength before anyone ever saw it. So when the time came to win... They were already conditioned for the cost. It was never "easier" for them. They just started climbing long before everyone else did and kept climbing after everyone else quit. They weren't handed the world. They just got so tired of being crushed by it that any amount of work required was worth it. ~ Andy Frisella
