Somebody Belt Me!
Teammates, I’m currently prepping my 'South Texas Summer' wardrobe and leaning heavily into linen this year—jackets, shirts, and trousers in the classic blues, olives, and earth tones. I’m stuck on the belt situation, though. I exclusively use Anson Belts, but with so many options, I’d love some 'boots on the ground' advice. What fabric (I'm thinking cloth or canvas) or color combinations do you think work best for a mix of business casual and weekend wear with linen? I was looking at this one here https://ansonbelt.com/products/1-5-light-blue-canvas-strap but I’d love to hear your thoughts or see what you all are wearing! Thanks in advance.
Belts and white leather sneakers????????
Assuming Spring and Summer might one day (hopefully soon) reach the New England states (I have a fire in the wood stove at the moment). I would like to start wearing my white leather sneakers with lighter colored chinos and polos or button up/downs. My issue always seems to boil down to the belt. I was always told to wear a belt if it had loops. I know you can go without, its just a hard sell for me. How do you gents address this? I assume you have belts to match every color pants you have, opt to go beltless, or have found some magical alternative. I cant imagine wearing a white belt with anything but white pants. A sand or khaki colored would probably work with lighter shades. How do you manage with something like navy, gray, or olive?
Help me choose a travel hat.
Hello, I have a trip to Japan next week and want to take a hat. I am going on a cruise ship and will plan to walk a lot on all the cities where we dock. I have it down to the 3 hats on the picture. Thanks for the advice.

2026-04-20 - Daily Style Stand-Up: A Light Blue, Knit Silk Necktie...
Today's Daily Style Stand-Up item is one that not many of us might currently have in our closet, but might be a bit more versatile than many of us may realize. Today's example is a Sky Blue Silk Grenadine Tie from Hawes & Curtiss. However, any solid, light-blue, knit, silk necktie - or even bow-tie, if you must - will work for this particular slot in a gentleman's closet. While some of us may look at this tie and immediately think, "Wedding" - let's see if we can't come up with a few creative, everyday-wear ensembles for such a tie. As a reminder, there are only two rules: - Answer the three questions. - Human answers only. (No AI responses.) The second rule is because I believe the community is best served by reading what actual humans in this actual community actually think. And, yes, there are too many words in that sentence with actual as the root... The first rule is to keep things simple and easy to follow. Just answer the following three questions: - Is this item (perhaps in a different color or different fabric) already in my closet? - What is one way I would style this item with things currently in my closet? - What is one thing not currently in my closet I would buy to style with this item?
