Alabama is in the Rose Bowl today at 3 pm CST. It’s considered the first big college football bowl game and home of many fantastic games over the years. Ironically 100 years ago, a team from Alabama was invited to its first Rose Bowl and won handily, not only winning Alabama’s first National Championship but establishing Southern football on the overall landscape of the game. So the new years starts with this, my boys heading in as underdogs as the team from Indiana has the accolades and the number one ranking in the land. As our fight song says, “Fight on, fight on, fight on men!
