Alive in Paris with Elevon
Sorry for disappearing, everyone. Work has been killing me, but I lived long enough to make it to vacation. I’m in Paris, and because of all the pickpocket warnings, I only brought my Elevon. Now I’m thinking I should have packed a few more watches. Rookie travel-watch mistake. So far, I’ve mostly been wearing Henleys and AG five-pockets or jeans because of the heat. Not exactly Paris runway, but survival has a dress code. I’m just glad I got here after the 44°C weather. That’s 111°F, which is less “vacation” and more “slow-roasting in a linen shirt.” I stopped into a Swatch store and checked out the Swatch x Omega MoonSwatch Moonphase and the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms collab. The Moonphase was way nicer than I expected. It did not feel plasticky. It felt solid, and the strap was actually comfortable. The Fifty Fathoms surprised me too. Very nice in person. A 90-hour power reserve on a 400 euro watch is kind of insane. Solid feel, nice strap, and oddly, sapphire on the back but not the front. So yes, Paris is dangerous. Not because of pickpockets. Because now I want more watches.

Timex Q 1972 Reissue Watch
The Timex Q 1972 Machine Reissue Gold Bracelet Brown Dial Watch is a remarkable reminder that great design never goes out of style. Its warm tiger's-eye-inspired dial, bold 1970s case, and integrated bracelet strike the perfect balance between vintage character and modern wearability, making it a true conversation piece on the wrist. A sincere shout-out to @Chad Smith for recently introducing me to this outstanding reissue—it's one of those watches that instantly makes you appreciate Timex's rich design heritage. Sometimes the most enjoyable additions to a collection aren't the most expensive, but the ones with the most personality, and this watch has that in abundance.

What’s Your Top Three
Like many enthusiasts, I have accumulated far more watches than I could ever wear regularly, yet these three have quietly distinguished themselves as the ones I reach for most often. The Tissot Chemin des Tourelles is my choice for formal occasions, offering timeless elegance and understated refinement; the Bulova Marine Star provides the perfect balance of professionalism and versatility for business casual attire; and the Seiko (Pepsi) diver remains my trusted companion for everyday wear, valued for its rugged reliability and enduring character. Each represents a different chapter of my life and wardrobe, proving that a thoughtfully chosen watch is far more than an instrument of time—it is an expression of purpose, confidence, and personal style. If I were limited to only three watches, these would be the collection I would proudly wear for years to come. Given the same categories, which are your top three watch choices?

1-2 Punch Combo
Added the Gold and Black Invicta watch and Burberry Hero fragrance to today’s ensemble. Texas style is found in the details, where warm gold, rich amber, and deep black come together with quiet confidence. An unapologetically bold chronograph paired with Burberry Hero creates a statement of rugged refinement that feels equally at home on the ranch porch or at an evening gathering. Sometimes the strongest impression isn’t made by what you wear alone, but by the accessories that complete the story.
