Yesterday, I went to a (large wholesale) grocery store with wife. I wore this semi-blue monochrome dress, but to my pleasant surprise, I saw a few heads turn (almost acknowledging that I stood apart, hopefully in a nice way 🙂). The warm mustard tone in the polo's background balances the coolness of blue. The navy cotton trousers add continuity to the top portion and elongate the appearance vertically. The blue suede loafers complement the overall blue in the outfit while keeping things stylishly casual. The bracelet does its job of matching with the jacket. And, the blue strap watch blends with the outfit while making a quiet statement on its own. Noticeably, I had to get my polo collars on top of the denim's because the collars are soft and do not sit well underneath the jacket. This is the first time I sported this "bold" look but carried the look effortlessly (which is important when you experiment).
