Grocery store visit, turning heads!
Yesterday, I went to a (large wholesale) grocery store with wife. I wore this semi-blue monochrome dress, but to my pleasant surprise, I saw a few heads turn (almost acknowledging that I stood apart, hopefully in a nice way 🙂). I had fun, and we achieved our objective of saving big on monthly groceries! THE TOP: Floral printed soft-collar polo with blue prints in a mustard background (in 100% cotton) THE OUTER LAYER: Light-wash denim jacket (Levi's Type III). THE BOTTOM: Navy MTM chinos with high waist. THE WATCH: Blue strap, blue dial, gold frame THE BELT: Black THE FOOTWEAR: Blue suede penny loafers THE BRACELET: Aquamarine sky blue THE PERFUME: Memoir - Solid cologne Nuances in this ensemble: The floral blue print in the polo matches with the light-wash blue in the denim jacket. The warm mustard tone in the polo's background balances the coolness of blue. The navy cotton trousers add continuity to the top portion and elongate the appearance vertically. The blue suede loafers complement the overall blue in the outfit while keeping things stylishly casual. The bracelet does its job of matching with the jacket. And, the blue strap watch blends with the outfit while making a quiet statement on its own. Noticeably, I had to get my polo collars on top of the denim's because the collars are soft and do not sit well underneath the jacket. This is the first time I sported this "bold" look but carried the look effortlessly (which is important when you experiment). I think having this collar style could be deliberately used as a hack when the polo collar is soft (this enhances the value-per-wear as well as longevity of your polo 😎). Let me know your thoughts. Happy weened guys!

Celebration!
Hi, not a fashion/clothing post - I just want to share this with my friends on here. We had our staff celebration day at work today - and I was presented with a trophy (and £100 spending money!) - I had been granted the Principal's Choice: Significant Contribution to Education Award! Very pleased with myself today!
Celebration!

It took 877 Days, but I've finally reached the promised land, becoming the second Australian general in this group (if I'm not mistaken). I would like to thank @Antonio Cent and the friends that I've made in this group for creating such an incredible online international community.

Can I Be Transparent?
Gentlemen: I want to share an embarrassing but important truth, and I hope this resonates and helps others. One day years ago, I came home from work really exhausted, and my five year-old daughter was waiting for me at the door as soon came in. I walk in and my daughter says that I’m so glad you’re home. I have a question for you. Can I ask you a question ? Yes go ahead; she says, how much do you make an hour? I get a little frustrated, I was like why are you asking me that? That’s a personal question? She said because I just wanna know. She just kept pestering me, like how much do you make an hour? So after like a couple of minutes of her asking, I said that’s fine if you need to know how much I make an hour, I make $100 an hour she puts her head down and she’s like man that’s a lot of money. Then she says dad can I have $50? I said did you just ask me how much I make so you can ask for money? I don’t work so hard so you can be selfish. You just go to your room and just go to bed. So then I go and to sit down kinda of cool down, and I start to think to myself like maybe I was a little too hard; she really doesn’t ask for money, maybe she really needed it. I go to her room; knock on her door, and I say hey sweetie are you up? And I tell her sweetie ,I’m sorry what do you need the money for? Here’s the 50 bucks. She gets super excited she takes the $50 and then goes under her pillow grabs some more money that she’s been saving up and starts to pull out these bills and put it on her bed. I got even more angry; like I can’t believe this, she asked me for more money and the she is just sitting there counting bills. I say, hey what do you need the money for because you already had money? She says, I didn’t have enough. I had 50 but I needed 100. This is when it hit me, she said can I buy an hour of your time? Could you come home early tomorrow so that we could have dinner? Gentlemen, the reason I tell you this story, is because our families want us for not just the stuff we can provide for them, they want men who can provide resources and their presence if you want to be in your kids memory tomorrow you have to be in their life today.

Last work day of the week, and one of only a few work days this month! At least full work days. Plenty of stepping up and doing whatever is necessary while traveling this month. Had a very motivating potential new client call today. It's great to get the motivation and excitement from such calls even after doing this for 30+ years. I hope you're all planning a great 250th birthday celebration this weekend. As much as American has been politically divided, I still feel like the Fourth is protected from such nonsense. We simply enjoy celebrating an amazing country's birthday... and fireworks! And hot dogs! Suit day for new client meeting and lots of vendor meetings today. I had the system apply my Friday rules to use items with low wear counts, even with it being Thursday. I don't plan to wear a suit tomorrow with playing some disc golf! Suit & Trousers - Mantoni Light Gray Windowpane Suit Jacket (SJ-013) — Lightweight wool two-piece, single-breasted 2-button with notched lapels, navy and light blue windowpane pattern against light gray. Slight sheen finish, slight padding in shoulders, high armholes. 80% lined for warm-weather breathability. Dual rear vents. - - Mantoni Matching Slacks (SL-022) — High-rise wool trousers in pinhead weave with matching windowpane. 1.25" cuffs, button/hook & bar closure. Light drape with medium break. Configured for both belt and suspenders. - Shirt - Charles Tyrwhitt White Burlington Dress Shirt (DS-010) — Classic French cuff in bird's eye twill (Burlington weave), spread point collar, non-iron cotton. Mother of pearl buttons. Formality Score: 5/5. The clean white canvas elevates the suit and lets the accessories pop. - Neckwear - Brooks Brothers Light Blue/Navy Windowpane Silk Tie (NT-063) — 3-fold silk, 3.75" width, 57" length. Low sheen finish with hand-rolled tipping. The windowpane echoes the suit's pattern at a complementary scale—subtle coordination without matching. Friday Rule: #29/70 ties (1 wear) — top 60%
