Red Shacket Versatility
Here is the newest addition to my digital wardrobe. 1. I have created this collage (Pinterest inspired!) depicting the versatility of a red over piece (here it is a shacket, it can be anything else). 2. The different Tees I have tried are in forest green, burgundy, charcoal, white, and grey. 3. The pants are light beige Levis Chinos (comfort fit). 4. No accessories or footwear, just the base outfit. 5. You would image a brown/tan foot wear would complement the cognac belt. 6. And, a tan-strapped leather watch would complete the ensemble. I have created this collage using a free Pixlr collage maker. FYI. The link: https://pixlr.com/photo-collage/ Comments/critiques welcome please.
Red Shacket Versatility
Alien Yellow
It has been a great style journey for me in the past month. I am a late bloomer, but can over-compensate quickly. 🤣 Of late, my new (and super exciting) hobby is creating a digital wardrobe wherein I can store all possible good-looking combinations of my apparel. The time has come to shine light on an almost alien color in a man's wardrobe-YELLOW. I tried three combinations (bare minimum, no watch or footwear). Here is what I have tried with my yellow Tee (local brand). There are three combinations. They differ in the jacket alone. The trousers are brand new stone-hued Chinos, 511 Levis mid-rise slim fit. The belt is cognac. Outfit 1: Khakhi over shirt (a casual shirt worn as the outer layer, fully unbuttoned) Outfit 2: Olive green shacket Outfit 3: Rust shacket I think the rust shacket provides a dramatically elevated appeal due to the three-way interaction between the Tee, the jacket, and the belt. I really don't know why. Or, may be I am attracted to colors; so. I am innately biased. Please tell me what you think.

Do you think men should define their style according to their age? Why or why not? Yes, I think men should define their style based on their age. The reason I think this is as we age, our context changes and we start to become more professional and mature. When we are young, we tend to experiment with many different colours, materials, patterns etc.

Oldest working item(s) in your closet (a cloth item and an accessory)
What is the oldest item in your closet which is still very much put to its rightful use? And which accessory has been at your service for the longest term? For me, my 511 Levis denims which I purchased about 5 years back is an eternal attachment! When it comes to the accessory, a gifted Titan (an Indian local brand) watch which I have maintained in fine shape and function for 13 years (you might have seen this in some of my recent OOTD pictures too).
Blending color-neutral and earth-tones
Here I am using my long cherished Ts in thick PIMA cotton in vibrant earth tones. I am using these as statement pieces and therefore everything else is neutral (but for a cognac belt). In all the three images, (a) the over shirt is actually a casual shirt in khakhi from Pepe Jeans (almost new), (b) the Chinos are in an ivory hue with a 70% cotton-25% viscose-5% linen blend from Levis. (c) the belt is cognac (Satya Paul) (d) the highlight of the night is each of the three PIMA Ts. These are (you wouldn't believe) made from 100% PIMA cotton imported from the U.S. (YES!), woven, designed, and retailed in India (directly from the factory) at a very competitive price. The three colors of Ts are royal (midnight) blue, merlot (shade of wine), and sage green. Excuse me as I have not yet worn my shoes here (they are in my shoe rack outside the house). These are tan colored suede loafers, which would add depth to the overall look. I don't know if you have used PIMA cotton dresses. These are heavy with a natural luster. I don't think you can gauge the luster of the Ts in my images, but the midnight blue is actually dramatically shining. Since everything else is neutral, the outfit is grounded and looks sophisticated, yet effortless. I even called my wifey to show them as I wore, and she even suggested that I check with the HR of my company is these qualify as business casuals (she digs my idea, but I am not doing this as such outfits are for my casual outdoors). A shout out to these PIMA guys. The name of the company is Off North. I am just sharing the link of the company for informative purposes: https://offnorth.com
