Must Read for Anyone Starting an AI Business
Hey everyone 👋 I want to make sure you’re truly using what’s inside the Classroom here on Skool — because it isn’t just theoretical content. It’s the proven starting point for building an AI service business in 2026, based on everything I've learned scaling my own 7-figure AI agency. When I first launched my business back in 2022, I was figuring things out in the dark — long days, trial and error, and a lot of mistakes before the real patterns finally emerged. Since then, I’ve worked with 7, 8, and 9-figure clients, helped thousands of people start AI agencies, and studied what separates the people who succeed from the ones who stall. And now the data is clear: There are TWO proven paths people are using to break into AI. All you have to do is choose the path that fits how you think and work. That’s why the very first thing you should do here is go to the Start Here module inside the Classroom. Inside it, you’ll find: - A clear breakdown of the two proven paths - Clarity on how to pick the one that fits you best - Then you'll find your playbook to land your first paid client fast Everything I wish I had when I started — the frameworks, playbooks, lessons, and action plans — is inside this Classroom. And I continue to update it based on what’s working right now. It’s all here for you, step by step. Don’t let this sit in your dashboard like another course. This is the stuff I lived to be where I am right now. I'M All in
Hi everyone, my name is Yimeng. I currently live in Singapore and my background is in strategy and communication. I spent time at McKinsey as a heavy "strategy person," but over time I realised I feel far more fulfilled when I can actually build and deliver impact, instead of just recommending and selling it. That's why I've stopped calling myself a strategist. I want to become a strategic builder. I came across Liam's video on AI agents and got completely hooked. I'm already building a few agentic systems, and I haven't felt this excited about work in a long time. Here's the angle I want to bring: my past roles were all about stakeholder management and human dynamics. So when I build agents, especially conversational ones, I obsess over the empathetic layer, like how the agent makes a person feel, not just what it does. I think warmth is where a lot of AI automation falls short, and that's the edge I want to lean into. My goal is: learn to build and sell AI automation, get real reps in, and land my first client. Longer term, my "why" is to build a career on my own terms, working for myself, with sustainable income, using my domain knowledge to solve real problems in a creative and human way. I'm a big believer in learning by building. Still figuring plenty out, but excited to take action and learn alongside all of you. One question I really want to hear your advice: for those who've already landed clients, what's the one skill you wish you'd focused on earlier, selling or building?
I thought I had an AI problem.
Turns out I had a thinking problem. A few weeks ago, I caught myself doing what I see almost every founder doing. I had ChatGPT open. Claude open. Gemini open. Antigravity open. Every tab promised to make me more productive. Instead, I felt more overwhelmed than when I started. So I closed every tab. And asked myself a different question. "What am I actually trying to solve?" That changed everything. Because I realized I'd been choosing tools before I'd even defined the problem. Imagine hiring an architect. And before they've even seen your building, they ask: "Should we use a hammer or a drill?" You'd probably find another architect. Yet that's exactly how most businesses approach AI. They start with the tool. Not the business. That realization led me to build something I now call The Compass. Not because it tells you which AI tool to use. Because it tells you where to look first. Every business gets evaluated through four questions. 🧭 Direction Where are we trying to go? ⚙️ Friction Where does work stop moving? 📈 Leverage What's the highest impact improvement? 🤖 AI Only then do we ask where AI actually belongs. The order matters. Because AI doesn't create leverage. It amplifies leverage that's already there. I genuinely think this is the shift that's happening in the market. The winners over the next few years won't be the businesses using the most AI. They'll be the businesses that understand their systems the best. AI will simply make those systems faster. I recorded a full YouTube video breaking down this philosophy and how I use The Compass to analyze businesses. Comment "Compass" and I'll send you the link in the DM.

Leads on autopilot? Check.
I just built an automated workflow that handles lead generation completely from scratch. When I ask it for "10 leads needing [Insert Service] in [Insert Location]," it doesn’t just scrape names. It validates the data and generates a deep-dive analysis report highlighting: - The business's exact pain points - How my service can deliver immediate value It has already handed me multiple qualified leads. Next step: I am building a second workflow to take these verified leads, automatically generate a tailored proposal, and drop it into a human-in-the-loop review queue for final approval before sending. Has anyone built a similar proposal automation?
