With unlimited generation, you can try prompt variations systematically, keep the seed fixed and change one keyword at a time. It shows you exactly which part of the prompt drives the look you want.
I'm All In
Hey guys! I’m Ryan, based in Kapitolyo, Pasig City, Metro Manila. My background is in full stack development, and I’m now transitioning toward automation and business process optimization. I want to land my first client by tapping into the Philippine market and build momentum for my entrepreneurial journey. What drives me is the vision of stability, not just for myself, but so I can eventually help people in need. I believe my potential can open doors to freedom, growth, and meaningful impact. Every step I take in tech and business is a step closer to creating opportunities for others!!

Your full stack background is a real advantage in the Philippine market. Most automation consultants there work entirely in no-code tools. You can take on projects that require custom API integrations or modifications to existing web apps. If you pitch a small business owner on automating a single task that connects their booking system to their accounting software, that's something most competitors can't do.

Your nursing background gives you a huge advantage here. You already know the most repetitive, documentation-heavy workflows in healthcare. Building a single AI agent that drafts discharge instructions from a few bullet points could be a stronger first project than aiming for a full platform.
Groq Function Calling Issue
I'm building an AI-powered Inventory Management System using n8n, Airtable, and the Groq API with an OpenAI-compatible chat model. I've completed the CRUD operations (Create, Read, Update, Delete), but I'm facing an inconsistent issue. Sometimes the AI works perfectly: ✅ Adds a new product ✅ Updates a product ✅ Deletes a product ✅ Retrieves inventory data However, other times, when I ask something like: "Add a new product: Keyboard, buy price 15, sell price 20, current stock 40, minimum stock 5" instead of calling the tool correctly, it returns the function call as plain text: <function>Create_a_record_in_Airtable</function>{"productName":"Keyboard","buyPrice":15,"sellPrice":20,"currentStock":40,"minimumStock":5} Instead of actually executing the tool. I'm using the Groq API through the OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Has anyone experienced this behavior? Is this a limitation of Groq's OpenAI-compatible API? Is there a specific model that has more reliable tool/function calling? Could this be a prompt issue, or am I missing a required configuration in n8n? Are there best practices to make function calling more consistent? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Groq's function calling consistency varies a lot by model. Mixtral tends to be less reliable than Llama 3.1 for tool use, the response wraps the call as raw text instead of structured output. If you switch to llama-3.1-70b or 405b, the issue often goes away. Also check that you're passing `tool_choice: 'auto'` or `'required'` in the request body, since the default behavior can drop tool calls when the model is unsure.

Your economics background is actually a strong asset. Many small businesses need someone to make sense of economic trends for their pricing or inventory. A simple AI agent that pulls recent indicators and writes a plain-English summary could be your first portfolio piece. That's more concrete than a generic chatbot.
