Sacramento State Run Get-Off Drill
Love this one for run-game violence. Explosive first step and hands together. 👇 Here’s how to run it. Set agility bags 1 yard apart. Line your guys up on each bag. From the stance: Explode out. Hands from the ground to the man ASAP. Reset to the next. Multiple reps. Both sides. Then progress it. Same get-off. Same violence. Now strike the pop-up bag. Feet running on contact. Great pad level. This drill teaches: Fast run get-off Violent hands No wasted steps ⬇️ What usually breaks down on your run get-offs? 👉 500+ drills and workouts, all organized in the Train Like a Pro classroom.

The Secret To Everything Coming Together
One of the biggest things I don’t see defensive linemen work on enough is their stance. It’s simple. Wake up and do stance holds. Load the front leg. Flat back. Eyes up on your visual key. From there, everything gets easier, especially your get-off. Do stance holds every morning and you’ll already be better than last year. Get to work!!! ⬇️ How often do you work on your stance?

FSU Reach + Gather Drill (Under The Chute)
This is a great FSU D-line Drill For pad level and beating the reach. Two guys go at the same time. Each working a different side. 👇 Here’s the coaching focus: Reach with the front foot. Gather the back foot. Stay vertical, not sideways. Hands working vertical pressure. Pads low the entire time. Chute keeps you honest. If your guys are struggling with: Pad level Reach blocks Or gather footwork This drill cleans it up fast. Simple setup. High return. 👉 Unlock all my workouts and drills in the CLASSROOM SECTION under Train Like a Pro.

Attack, Peek & Shed (Green Bay Packers Drill)
Simple drill. Big carryover. How it works 👇 • Line up in front of a one-man sled • On movement, attack the sled with great pad level • Strike with arms extended and drive your feet on contact • Peek for a second in your gap • Shed back the other way and stay square Attack first. See the ball. Shed and stay square. 🔻 In the run game, what breaks down most for you? 🔻
