β¨ Weekly Check-In Reflection β¨
This week was a reminder that real life doesnβt pause for fitness goals. I was away at a work retreat, surrounded by catered meals, social eating, desserts, long days, and an unpredictable schedule. Did I do everything perfectly? Nope.Did I still try? Absolutely. I pre-planned ahead by asking for the food menu early, focused on building my βperfect plate,β prioritized protein and fiber, stayed active with 8Kβ12K daily steps, and still made time for strength workouts. I also packed my own yogurt and fruit snacks that I could accurately weigh and track. But hereβs the honest partβ¦ my macros still went over more than I anticipated. I didnβt weigh my lunch and dinner meals because realistically, in social/work settings, thatβs not always possible. Mentally, that was frustrating for me because I like structure and accuracy. What this week taught me is that fitness isnβt about being perfect in every situation. Itβs about using the tools and habits weβve learned to make the best decisions possible in real-life environments. Sometimes success is simply NOT throwing in the towel when things arenβt ideal. Next week? Back to my boring meal prep and routine because honestlyβ¦ that structure works really well for me ππͺπΌ
