I want to share something about one of our clients, Kara. She's a doctor. Long hours, random shifts, eating whenever she could fit it in. For years she'd been losing and regaining the same 10-15 lbs. Back home from my work retreat and feeling recharged. Yesterday after HIIT, I listened to my body β€” took a nap, went to bed early, and got 7 hrs 30 mins of sleep. This morning? Walked into the gym feeling AMAZING and hit a new PR on my dumbbell glute bridges πŸ”₯ Sometimes recovery really is the secret sauce. Less β€œgo go go,” more intentional rest so we can perform better when it counts. And a moment that honestly caught me off guard… my partner took me to dinner at Pollo Inka last night and paused mid-conversation to say: β€œDamn babe… I haven’t seen you for a week and you look really skinny now.” To be honest, I don’t always see the changes myself day to day. But hearing it from someone else β€” especially after multiple people this week mentioning my transformation β€” reminded me that consistency does compound. Even during the weeks when motivation isn’t perfect, routines are off, stress is high, or progress feels invisible. Showing up still matters.The workouts matter.The sleep matters.The tracking matters.The small choices matter. And today was a reminder that the hard work behind the scenes eventually shows up 🫢🏼 Pollo Inka ordered: Lomo saltado with green beans (usually comes with fries), no rice, side salad, no dressing, chicken soup, roll with Aji verde dressing
