Special Appreciation Post 🧡 My Mom
The lady who shaped my moral compass. The lady who worked 3 jobs after migrating to Canada. The lady who sang me bedtime songs every night (I can still hear them vividly) The lady who had 3 boys but never made any of them feel less or more than the other (that’s a powerful quality). Everything ended with “I love you”. Not everyone has the same blessing as I did — and I don’t take that lightly. So, for me to be able to give back and guide her and my dad into a healthier body… that’s a dream. That’s my duty as a son. We watched her and my dad's parents pass early from frailty, cancer, and obesity. I’m trying to make my parents see that although it’s common, it’s not normal. 📷 Photo timeline: 👉 2018: Probably the heaviest I’ve seen her. This is when she visited my wife and I and we went on a cruise around Asia. 👉 2021: Hyperthyroidism hit. She lost a lot of weight, but not in the healthy way. Muscle loss was apparent too. She felt chronically low in energy. Went on meds. 👉 Jan 2024: She visited me in BKK. She put back a lot of her weight. I taught her how to track food, I showed her how to train. She kept walking. 👉 Jan 2025: She visited again— totally different person. She trains 3x/week, does Zumba & sauna, and she can eyeball food now. Completely off the meds (if I'm not mistaken) I’m just lucky my ASIAN parents listen to me 😆 If you have parents whom you wish took care of themselves better, lead by example first. 6 things I’d never do again‼️
I’m here in front of you guys today BECAUSE I went through all the diet culture shit for 4 years. I’m grateful for all the anxiety, the stress, and the times that truly tested me. But I still wouldn’t do these again 😆 Now I can share some wisdom for you guys so you don’t run into the same things. These are personal to ME, by the way. Some of you like to skip breakfast, some of you have to train fasted because you get up really early… but it’s the reasons behind these things that need to be considered — and whether or not these habits are actually beneficial for your body and performance. Here we go👇👇 1️⃣ Skipping breakfast It doesn’t work for me. I need food for energy before I train. I want to front-load my protein so that my hunger is managed in the evening. And I understand staying lean comes down to managing calories, not the time you eat. 2️⃣ Fasted training My goal is to build muscle and perform at a high level. Having an empty stomach leaves me feeling… empty. Also, you don’t burn more body fat training fasted. Big difference between burning fat and losing fat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3️⃣ Removing carbs I used to be hardcore keto. It sucked for me. Carbs are essential for energy, performance and recovery. They also fuel muscle growth. Being scared of carbs is a sign your relationship with food needs work.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4️⃣ Labeling foods as ‘good’ or ‘bad’ There’s no such thing. All food is food. Some more nutritious, some less. Some for fuel, some for entertainment. There’s an overall healthy diet and an overall unhealthy diet. As long as most of your diet is Whole Foods, you can be optimally healthy. I promise. 5️⃣ Waiting an hour before coffee The science just isn’t strong enough. I’d rather not delay my happiness for very marginal energy benefits later in the day. Everything else I do ensures I don’t crash in the afternoon. No more majoring in the minors for me. 6️⃣ Using cardio to lose fat This is a losing game. You can’t control how many calories you expend, and you don’t burn as many calories as you think you doing during cardio. Lots of cardio also makes you hungry as shit. Lose fat by controlling your INTAKE of calories.

For my newbies & Level 1s — I want to share what my real Sunday looks like since I started the BBB Community. Not perfect. Not rigid. Just intentional. Here’s my Sunday game plan 👇 1️⃣ Pre-workout breakfast 🏋🏻‍♀️ Fuel first, always. A small pre-workout meal before beast mode because strength days deserve energy, not vibes alone. 2️⃣ Gym: Full-body strength day 💪 Strength training is my foundation. This is how I’ve built muscle, confidence, and consistency over time. I show up, do the work, and trust the process. 3️⃣ Post-gym breakfast ☕️ Starbucks Doppio on ice + Fairlife protein shake. Simple. Reliable. Protein check ✅ caffeine check ✅ 4️⃣ Church ⛪️ This is my reset. It grounds me, clears my mind, and helps me mentally prepare to execute the week ahead. 5️⃣ Family day ❤️ Disneyland edition 🎢 Today is about memories. Disneyland has Lunar New Year festivities 🥳 and my daughter wants to try the food — so we’re enjoying it. Will I track perfectly? Probably not. And that’s okay. I’ll be mindful where I can, enjoy time with my family, and let the rest be tomorrow’s problem. 6️⃣ Steps, steps, steps 👟 Disneyland = sneaky cardio. Moving my body while having fun is still movement. 7️⃣ Dinner — depends on hunger 🍽️ I don’t eat just because it’s “dinner time.” - If I’m full → I skip dinner. - If I’m hungry → we hit a taco stand 🌮 I go protein-focused: - Chicken - Cabeza (beef cheeks) - Tripas (beef intestines)Loaded with veggies. Simple. Satisfying. The reset mindset 🧠 If tracking isn’t perfect, I don’t spiral. I reset: - Add more steps - Tighten calories slightly (50–100) - Get back to my routine No guilt. No punishment. Just consistency. ✨ Message for Newbies: This is what sustainability looks like. You don’t need to be perfect. You need a plan and the ability to reset. 👉 What does your ideal Sunday look like right now? Even if it’s messy — share it. You belong here 🤍

I've found this recipe and I baked the bread earlier. 500g curd cheese light 500g flour 2 eggs 7g baking powder Sunflower seeds Put everything together. Dip the bread into the Sunflower seeds. Bake for 60 minute with 190 degrees.
