This is a VE 300hp build (and will stay that hp). Took my block to machine shop with good reviews. I’ve asked them about my rods, they said they’re OK to run. Looking at them deeper, should I rebush them or are ok to run (or buy DCEC ones for the same price). These are machined 12valve brazil/japan rods. Same with cam, the end of the cam shaft says HO35 S. Part number is 3914639. They said I can polish it and it would be ok for budget build. Looking at it deeper, I’m not sure. Thank you

What are the pros and cons of doing the timing advance on the VE. How much does the timing advances by just rotating the VE pump as far as it goes (seems to be more of a limit on the lines rather than the actual slot).

Curious on everyone's thoughts on the timing spacer has anyone used it and noticed a difference, in theory it seems like a good upgrade. Considering ordering one and trying it out.

Thoughts on a machinist doing the rebuilt/upgrade on a VE pump? I have had it apart partially before. Just being north of the border, sending it to Ratman would take forever and $$$... Thoughts?
