Head gasket failure again
So long story short(well semi short). I bought my truck way back in August now previous owner did a head gasket roughly forty Thousand kms before I bought the truck and with in 24 hours of owing I blew the gasket so after a couple months of denial, I replaced it in December took my head to a machine shop local and they said it was blown on 4-5 5-6 steam port and they took some off, they didn't specify. I put it all together with a oe Cummins gasket and after 3 weeks of driving it under boost and high rpm I head gasket chatter and coolant blowing everywhere. The block was straight when I had the head off. What's my best option ie just replace the gasket, replace the head with a known good one. I'm leaning towards just replacing the head but want your guys opinion. And yes the truck is tune and deleted and it has a mini max v1 and the truck has 411,000k on it

@Seth Williamson they like about 20-30ra. That's micro inch roughness average. Which actually something equivalent to 240 grit will get you. I like the 320 since I don't have 240 lol. I've never had an issue with sealing.

@Robert Winkworth I'm sharp as a tack lol
3d printing / cnc
Not sure if you guys are into 3d printing. I just started playing with cad and 3d printing. I want to get into making some on the cnc but I want to design and program the stuff myself so I can make changes on the fly. Both of these I had all the help with lol. But I am learning

@Robert Winkworth oh yeah 100%. I'd probably be making things my governor doesn't approve of 🤭

To port or not to port?
New valves, new seats, new springs… It is so nice and shiny. Initially, I was planning on taking a Dremel to do some polishing to the intake runners. I was also thinking of lapping the valves as well. But maybe fuck all that and just leave well enough alone…

@Seth Williamson that's what I was told. I'm assuming it's a choke point. Probably what happens is the runners start off big in the intake and then get squeezed down in the bowls. That would help keep velocity up.

Yeah probably lol. I don't port any of mine. I pay someone else lol. My competition head was a mess though. Whoever ported it originally made a mess. I had bigger valves put in so had to blend everything together. That's about all I'll do.
Question before I do final assembly
The top end was rebuilt new spring rockers and valves stock push rods new oil pump. I have to set valve lash and prime the oil system. What is the best way to ensure oil is were it needs to be. Tips and tricks to prime the oil. Also is there a way to test the oil cooler or am I better off buying a new one.

I have a oil pump that I welded a socket on and I drive it with a 1/2" drill. But also what Rob said. If everything is lubed and oil filter is full you should be fine. Especially if you have to crank some to get air out of the fuel system. That will help prime. Those oil pumps move a lot of oil in a hurry. Ask me how I know lol.
12v inspection good thing we did
Well this engine belongs to @Claude Lafond This right here is the part of the reason I show people and want to help. No need for this to happen to a guy. But fear not we will get him fixed up https://youtu.be/c0G9Ey0O4eU?si=tnMbBoB6cOWWlUOf
