Strategies for Landing Founding SDR/Founding GTM Gig
Strategic question for and experienced homeboys and homegirls.
I found myself being a fantastic founding SDR while being brutally underpaid and I want to fix that.
I know GTM is slightly more broad, but I know I can pull that one off too, so I treat them in a similar fashion.
Nature of my question, looking for some ideas how to make my process of finding a gig or 3 more efficient.
Here is what I am doing so far.
-Scraping applications via ChadGeePeeTea. I receive various ones from dif websites. Biggest piece in my resume is the numbers:
---
Built a custom scraper + AI outbound system,
Hitting 1 booked call per 100–150 cold emails in
a brutal niche vs. an industry benchmark of 1 per 1,000
Brought 2 whale clients (¼ of whole company yearly),
Month 2 after launching my leadgen system.
---
-For higher value companies, I also outreach directly to desicion makers via linkedin and/or emails. (Not to everyone, maybe to 15% of the applications)
-My current linkedin is tailored to my current company to sell their product, so I can;t necessarily modify my bio for job search, but I can connect with people who MIGHT need what I have and outreach directly.
-I have a loom video where i show some of the tools and set up I use and attach it where nessesary.
-I had some content ideas and watched the Twitter Client Getting course, but I can't use my linkedin yet because content there is related to my current company stuff, not selling myself as a specialist yet.
BOTTOM LINE - I see for now, just applications plus mass outreach. But maybe there are specific ways to do it I am missing or some other ways I am no aware of
Appreciate any suggestions and ideas.
Thank you
