Why most The Skool Classifieds posts get ignored (and what to do instead)
A few members in my community have been asking me why their The Skool Classifieds posts aren't getting clicks. I've been answering them individually in DMs, but I figured the answer was worth sharing more widely. Here's what I've been telling them. Step one: write your title like a YouTube title, specific, outcome-led, and clear enough to make sense without reading the body. Step two: open your first paragraph by naming the exact problem your ideal member is sitting with right now. Not your solution. Their problem. Step three: deliver one complete insight in plain language, something they can actually use, whether they click your link or not. Step four: close with a single CTA sentence that positions your community as the natural next step for someone who found the first three steps useful. The join link goes after the CTA, on its own line. No pitch. No feature list. No "we help people do X." Most of The Skool Classifieds posts read like brochures. They open with the community name, list what's inside, and close with a link. Technically correct. Nobody clicks. The problem isn't the CTA - it's that the reader hasn't been given a reason to care yet. Try this: stop writing so much about your community. Start writing the kind of post your ideal member would have found useful, even if the link wasn't there. If you want to go deeper on turning your Skool community into consistent revenue, that's exactly what we focus on inside the Skool Monetisation Lab. https://www.skool.com/skool-growth-lab-2540/about Des Dreckett - Skool Monetisation Lab

HOW IT WORKS - READ THIS FIRST
Ever wonder how you can let people know about your Skool community? Feel like you have so much to offer but don't know how to get people involved? Wish there was somewhere you were actually allowed to promote yourself and talk about your offer? Look no further! The Skool Classifieds are the place where you are not only allowed to promote yourself, but you are actually encouraged to do so! Like the Classifieds section of your local newspaper or the Community Message Board at the gym, this is the place to let people know what you do and what you offer. Here's how it works: 1. Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! 2. You can post once a day only. This is to keep the group from getting spammy. If it's spammy, people won't read and you won't get noticed. Post as many days in a row as you want, but please do not post the same thing day after day - mix it up! 3. Make sure you add your post to the appropriate group/heading. Please see below for a description of what each group is for. If you don't see a group that is appropriate, message me. 4. Self-Promotion is what this group is all about, but please do not DM people with your offers. You will be removed from the group for doing this. 5. Introduce yourself in this thread, and then scroll up and find someone you have something in common with. Reach out. There are some really amazing people here! šŸ˜‰ This is a place for us to support each other for our mutual benefit. Hate speech, offensive language, or general negativity will be deleted, and you will be removed from the group. *Please check out this post for more tips on how to get great results from your posts. And also this post by one of our own community members who has had great success growing his group through the CLASSIFIEDS. MONDAY MYTH: ā€œYou Make Decisions With Your Mind.ā€
Most people think they’re making decisions with their ā€œmind.ā€ That's adorable. But inaccurate. Say what? Yep, you read that right. Let's try it again. Most people think they’re making decisions with their ā€œmind.ā€ That's adorable. But inaccurate. Your mind is basically the intern who shows up late, takes credit for everyone else’s work, and still somehow gets employee of the month. Meanwhile, your blood sugar is in the corner making 90% of your life choices like: ā€œBuy the thing. Eat the thing. Say yes to the thing. Cry about the thing.ā€ Your minerals are running HR like: ā€œWe’re firing everyone today. No, we don’t care if they’re innocent.ā€ Your CO2 tolerance is the risk manager: ā€œNope. Too scary. Also too loud. Also too everything.ā€ Your inflammation is the pessimist intern: ā€œThis will fail. That will fail. You will fail. Let’s just lie down.ā€ And your ā€œmindā€? Your mind is standing there like: ā€œI have decided.ā€ Sure you did, sweetheart. Most people think they’re making decisions with their ā€œmind.ā€ Your mind is the last one to know what you’re doing. Your blood sugar decides how patient you are. Your minerals decide how kind you are. Your CO2 tolerance decides how brave you are. Your inflammation decides how hopeful you are. Your nervous system decides whether you can even hear your own values. By the time your ā€œmindā€ shows up, the body already voted. If you’ve ever wondered why your behavior doesn’t match your intentions, why your reactions don’t match your values, why your decisions don’t match your goals, it’s not because you’re broken. It’s because your physiology voted first. Most people are living inside a body they’ve never learned to read, and then blaming their ā€œpersonalityā€ for the fallout. Once you understand the physiology behind your patterns? Your entire life starts making sense in a way that feels illegal. This is the part no one teaches: Your body has been speaking in full sentences your whole life. You just didn’t know the language. Yet. If you’ve ever wondered why your behavior doesn’t match your intentions,
