HOW IT WORKS - READ THIS FIRST
Ever wonder how you can let people know about your Skool community? Feel like you have so much to offer but don't know how to get people involved? Wish there was somewhere you were actually allowed to promote yourself and talk about your offer? Look no further! The Skool Classifieds are the place where you are not only allowed to promote yourself, but you are actually encouraged to do so! Like the Classifieds section of your local newspaper or the Community Message Board at the gym, this is the place to let people know what you do and what you offer. Here's how it works: 1. Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! 2. You can post once a day only. This is to keep the group from getting spammy. If it's spammy, people won't read and you won't get noticed. Post as many days in a row as you want, but please do not post the same thing day after day - mix it up! 3. Make sure you add your post to the appropriate group/heading. Please see below for a description of what each group is for. If you don't see a group that is appropriate, message me. 4. Self-Promotion is what this group is all about, but please do not DM people with your offers. You will be removed from the group for doing this. 5. Introduce yourself in this thread, and then scroll up and find someone you have something in common with. Reach out. There are some really amazing people here! 😉 This is a place for us to support each other for our mutual benefit. Hate speech, offensive language, or general negativity will be deleted, and you will be removed from the group. *Please check out this post for more tips on how to get great results from your posts. And also this post by one of our own community members who has had great success growing his group through the CLASSIFIEDS.

Please Introduce Yourself
One of the most important things I've learned since becoming an online entrepreneur is that the most important thing you can do to grow your business is to build relationships. Many of us (myself included) have rushed to promote our groups and services that we care so deeply about. And it only makes sense - we are excited about what we are doing! Today, I'd like to invite you to take a step back and introduce yourself to the group by answering the following questions: 1. Who are you personally? 2. Who are you professionally? 3. What is something you love doing outside of work? 4. What is something surprising about you? As you open up and make more connections, you will find that not only are people more interested in what you do, but they will also be more interested in helping you make connections with other people they know! 😉 After you introduce yourself, please scroll through the other introductions and add a comment to someone you have something in common with or would like to know more about. 😊 Please add your introduction in the comments below! ⬇️

ᯓ🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️ Are you doing a referral rush in your community?
I saw @Shannon Boyer doing that right from the beginning and thought it was a genius idea. So now I'm doing the same. It's basically a contest for who invites the most people to your community, and Skool has a very nice way to help you keep track of that. It works even on the hobby plan. How do you do it? First, instruct people to use the link in the “Invite People” button from your community. If they don’t use that link, there is no indicator that the person came from them. If they do use the link, the member will have “Invited by [you]” in the member list. What can you offer for winners? - 1:1 calls with you (that’s what I’m doing) - Cash prize - Access to a private course - Limited or lifetime access to a paid tier - Other options (you can be more creative than I am) Good ways to refer people to other communities: - Make posts like “5 communities that helped me grow.” - Do shoutouts to specific communities that you see value in. Show the value you got from them. - Guest lives. This is by far the best way in my opinion. Be a guest in their community, and have them be a guest in yours. This way, you can both exchange members and add value to each other’s communities. The recorded live can be stored in your classroom with a referral link to their community. Some other ideas I had: - I’ll do one every month. The prizes will vary according to the moment of my community. At the moment, I offer four 1:1 calls, but that might not be viable in the future, so that can change to other options I listed above. - Every month, only the winner gets the score reset. So if someone got close to winning this month, they will be closer the next one, and all of their effort will still count. - If there is a tie, you can use the date of the referrals as a tiebreaker. The oldest referrals should count more. The earlier you invite, the better My goal is to reach 100 members by the end of this month. If you want to help me out, join Plan Your Tech, invite your friends, and get a chance to win my consulting services for free as a prize.

Fascinating Facts Friday – Octopuses!
If you love learning about the amazing creatures, we share this world with, you’re going to enjoy today’s quick dive. This one comes straight from my aquarist friend who has taught me so many incredible things about these intelligent and fascinating creatures, the octopuses! Let’s dive in: • The plural of octopus is octopuses. Octopi isn’t actually correct because it mixes Greek and Latin. Octopod works too, especially if you don’t know the gender, it's kind of like using they/them. • Speaking of gender, you can tell an octopus' gender around 6 months old by looking at their third arm from the right. Females have sucker cups all the way to the tip, and males have a smooth, spoon-shaped end called the hectocotylus. • The male's arm has a very special purpose. He uses it to reach inside his mantle, grab a spermatophore (a sperm packet), and then gently place it inside the female’s mantle during reproduction. Sadly, this marks the beginning of the end of their already-short lives (usually 2–3 years). The female passes shortly after her eggs hatch, and the male passes a few months later. • The siphon, that little tube near their head, is their jet propulsion. The octopus inhales and expels water through their siphon helping them zoom around with speed and grace. • Octopuses are incredibly intelligent. They’re known as the most intelligent invertebrate, with both short- and long-term memory. They can problem-solve, open jars, and even use tools. Honestly, they’d probably be very handy in the kitchen. And if you haven’t already seen My Octopus Teacher, it is a must-see. It will make you fall in love with this beautiful, three-hearted animal. Yes, they have three hearts, which makes me love them even more! What about you? What is your favorite animal? Let’s keep learning about this wonderful animal world together. 💗
