Here’s a simple way to spot things you might be overlooking in your Skool. Set it to “View as a member” and have a spouse, friend or family member go through it. Start them on your About Page and don’t help them. Just watch. Can they tell what your community is about? Do they know where to start? What do they click? Where do they get confused? And every time you want to say, “Oh, you just need to click here…” write it down. When we work on our own Skools every day, everything makes sense to us. Sometimes you just need a fresh set of eyes to show you what doesn’t.

We find the Skool community owner. Notice how they stare patiently at the screen... waiting for engagement. A member appears. The owner remains perfectly still. They've commented. Remarkable. The owner quickly responds before the member can escape back into the wilderness. But survival in the Skool ecosystem requires more than patience. A clear niche helps attract the right members. A good onboarding experience gets them moving. Useful conversations keep them returning. And an offer people actually understand gives the community a reason to exist. Keep doing what you need to do, day after day even if you're not seeing immediate results. Do it for the journey, not for the destination. Put a lot of effort, show your work out there and learn along the way, meet people who are walking along side you and help those who get lost. Eventually you will meet the right person who is seeing how dedicated you are. They will open a door that wil get to you the next level. It can be the right client, a business partner or a great mentor. Plenty will say it was luck but only you know the effort it took you to be recognized by that person. Than you can only go up from there.

A simple idea that can make your Classroom lessons more valuable. Instead of letting the lesson end when someone finishes it, attach a Community discussion to it. For example if you have a rock climbing community and have a Classroom lesson on improving climbing technique. You could create a Community post where members can: Share a video of themselves climbing. Ask for help with a move they're struggling with. Share something from the lesson they tried. Give tips to other climbers. Post when they finally complete a route they've been working on. Then pin that Community post directly on the bottom of the related Classroom page. Now when a new member goes through that lesson six months from now. They don't just get the original training. They also get six months of climbing videos, questions, advice, examples, mistakes, breakthroughs and member results right there with it. You could use the same idea throughout your Classroom: Technique lesson → Share a climbing video for feedback Grip lesson → What's giving you the most trouble? Training plan → Share your weekly training goal Beginner lesson → Ask your beginner climbing questions here Challenge → Post the route you're working toward + your progress Your Classroom provides the training. Your Community provides the real-world experience around that training. Put the two together and a lesson doesn't just sit there getting older. Your members actually help make it better over time.
