Looking to Connect Again? Drop In TODAY!
If you've had the opportunity to disconnect over the holidays, you might be looking for a low-key way to re-engage. For 5 hours today, the Classifieds will be hosting a drop-in for premium members. Check the calendar for the times in your time zone. 🙋 What does "drop-in" mean? It means that you might drop in and no one is there or it might mean that ten people are there. 🙋 How can I make sure people are there when I drop-in? Tag someone in the comments here either today or at the time of the drop-in and invite them to join you. Or, post a selfie of the group in the hangout and invite others to join you. It's really what you make of it... 🙋 Why would I want to participate in a drop-in? It's an opportunity to connect casually with other Skoolers with no recording, no agenda, no expectations. You never know who you'll meet and what kind of connections you might make! 🙋 Does it work? Yes! We've done it twice before in this group after a suggestion from @Dee Greene who does it regularly in his own group. If you are someone who just likes to connect with people over a cup of coffee or is open to the possibilities of what authentic conversation can bring, then this is for you. 🙋 Will Shannon be there? There's always the possibility, but I don't commit to a specific time as I want these drop-ins to be more group led and casual (I can be a bit of a buzz kill! 😂). Questions, concerns? Drop them in the comments below. Have you attended in the past? Drop a comment and let others know what the experience was like. Want to connect with someone specific? Tag them in the comments below and invite them to meet up with you at a specific time! Have fun! Want to become a premium member for only $3/month? Check out the possibilities here!

The CLASSIFIEDS Premium Tier - Everything You Need to Know!
If you are already on the Premium tier and want to know how to make the most of it, or are thinking about upgrading, here is everything you need to know... ⭐️ 🗞️ In the Standard tier, you can post in the community once a day in any category (except for days with a hashtag prompt, then you get an extra post!). There are two kinds of acceptable community posts: "anything" promoting your Skool group, or offers that are free (freebies, free workshops, podcast promotions, your own YouTube channel promotions). You can see the list of categories in the How It Works pinned post. These "rules" are for both standard and premium members. 🌟 🗞️ Now for the additional benefits for Premium members: 1. Premium members are allowed to put an "ad" in the classroom to advertise anything they want - free or paid. The ad stays up for as long as they are a premium member. Ads rotate weekly. 📰 You can place your ad by creating a draft course in your own community and then copying the course key and sending it to me to copy into the Classifieds. Course keys can be found by going to the thumbnail of the course in your classroom and clicking on the three dots in the top right corner. 2. Premium members also have access to all live events on the calendar. This includes meetups twice a month (called the PERSONALS) and open drop-ins once a month. 📆 The meetups are structured and focus on improving your visibility as well as helping you make connections and foster collaboration. 3. Premium members also have the opportunity to host their own free masterclass for all members on the CLASSIFIEDS calendar. This gives you the chance to provide value to the members and then pitch your group or product at the end. 💵 In order to qualify to host a masterclass, you have to first take my How to Teach a High-Value, High-Converting Masterclass workshop ($27). The next one is being offered on January 6th with doors opening for registration January 2nd. After taking the prerequisite workshop, the first masterclass you offer is of no charge. Subsequent masterclasses that you would like to offer will be subject to a $10 administrative fee.

HOW IT WORKS - READ THIS FIRST
Ever wonder how you can let people know about your Skool community? Feel like you have so much to offer but don't know how to get people involved? Wish there was somewhere you were actually allowed to promote yourself and talk about your offer? Look no further! The Skool Classifieds are the place where you are not only allowed to promote yourself, but you are actually encouraged to do so! Like the Classifieds section of your local newspaper or the Community Message Board at the gym, this is the place to let people know what you do and what you offer. Here's how it works: 1. Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! 2. You can post once a day only. This is to keep the group from getting spammy. If it's spammy, people won't read and you won't get noticed. Post as many days in a row as you want, but please do not post the same thing day after day - mix it up! 3. Make sure you add your post to the appropriate group/heading. Please see below for a description of what each group is for. If you don't see a group that is appropriate, message me. 4. Self-Promotion is what this group is all about, but please do not DM people with your offers. You will be removed from the group for doing this. 5. Introduce yourself in this thread, and then scroll up and find someone you have something in common with. Reach out. There are some really amazing people here! 😉 This is a place for us to support each other for our mutual benefit. Hate speech, offensive language, or general negativity will be deleted, and you will be removed from the group. *Please check out this post for more tips on how to get great results from your posts. And also this post by one of our own community members who has had great success growing his group through the CLASSIFIEDS.

Looking To Be a Podcast Guest
I’m setting an intentional goal for 2026: to be a guest on podcasts at least once a month. If you host a podcast and are looking for guests, I’d love to connect. I’ve been self-publishing for the last few years to generate passive income, and now I teach others how to turn books into income-producing assets—whether they’re first-time authors, coaches, or business owners who want a book that actually works for their brand. Happy to talk about: - Self-publishing as passive income - How a simple book can lead to higher-ticket offers - Building authority and audience through books - Lessons learned from publishing multiple books If this fits your show, drop a comment or DM me and let’s see if it’s a good match.

Wondering what kind of course to create?
I recorded a coaching-style episode for the podcast that I think a lot of you will relate to, especially if you have been feeling the pull to create a course but keep stalling out at the topic decision. Kathy Quan came onto the show for coaching. She is a brand and website designer with a background in visual storytelling and motion graphics. She has spent years delivering high-touch one-on-one work, and she is ready to bring her expertise into online courses. Here is the exact crossroads she is standing in. She has two course ideas. Both are aligned. Both are useful. Both make sense for her skill set. One idea is practical and foundation-based. It addresses a gap she sees in the market and would give people skills they can apply immediately. The other is more creative and expressive. It is about helping people use design and visual expression to get seen and stand out in a way that feels authentic to them. If you have ever been stuck between what feels exciting to teach and what feels like it would be the smarter business decision, you will recognize yourself in this conversation. In the episode, we talk about how to move forward without guessing, without building a full course in isolation, and without waiting until your idea is “perfect.” We also talk about what it really means to validate a course topic, who to talk to, and why building your audience and building your course need to happen in parallel. If you want to listen, the link is here. If you want to discuss it, drop a comment with which side you tend to default to when choosing a course topic: 1. practical and ROI-driven 2. creative and joy-driven And if you are looking for help validating your own idea, I'm hosting a free, live mini-course in the Build Lab starting on Monday, Jan 12 - join now for only $12/year.
