Woke up in an "Old School" mood, so I went with this clone of the vaulted Creed Royal Mayfair. Iâll be honest: this was a blind buy and it is a total acquired taste. The opening is a shotgun blast of Eucalyptus and Pine that straight up smells like a closet full of mothballs. Itâs medicinal, sharp, and definitely not a "crowd pleaser." But thereâs something addictive about it. Once that "bandage" smell settles, you get this fizzy Gin and Rose vibe that feels like pure royalty. Now I know why itâs a vaulted fragrance. Itâs not a "safe" scent, and it definitely isn't popular with the masses. From a business standpoint, itâs probably not worth the shelf space when most people won't "get it." But for a collector, thatâs exactly what makes it interestingâitâs weird, itâs sophisticated, and itâs a piece of history that I canât stop smelling. Anyone else rocking a "vaulted" scent today that the general public would probably hate? đ
