$100 Discount on Monterey Watches (Ends Today!)
Gents - we have an incredible last-minute deal to share with the group! After a fantastic conversation with Tim Hermes yesterday, he dropped an exclusive discount code that is—hands down—one of the best deals we’ve ever seen for Monterey Watches. Use code RMRS100 at https://montereywatches.com/ This code offers a $100 discount - massive savings especially on specific models. For example, on some models like the Kitty Hawk, you’re looking at nearly 40% off! ⚠️ The Catch: Time is Running Out This code was only authorized for a 24-hour window and expires between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM CST TODAY. That means you only have about 7–8 hours left to lock this in. Once the clock strikes 6:00 PM, the code is gone. How to get it: 1. Head over to https://montereywatches.com/ 2. Pick out your timepiece (check out the Kitty Hawk for the biggest savings!). 3. Enter code RMRS100 at checkout. Sorry for the short notice on this one - but we wanted to make sure everyone in the group—paid members or not—had a fair shot at it. Go grab one before the deadline!

SOTA.M. - Egoiste Platinum by Chanel
So I knew this morning was not going to be a typical day at the office for me. Today I had an appointment with five (FIVE!) Federal agents, all sporting badges, guns and fancy law degrees. Two came to the office personally, while three joined our little meeting virtually. And they were all there to talk to me. How flattering!🫤 Well, I know my brothers (and sisters) here at the BoS. You want to know what was my fragrance of choice! As luck would have it, I was watching a YouTube video last night and it mentioned Egoiste Platinum. It's classy, balanced, etc etc. And according to the YouTuber, "It's the kind of scent that gives off the impression that the wearer has his life together!" I'm thinking it's a classic, rather quiet, modern fougere that was made for professional settings... Perfect! 9:00 AM - the initial spray was crisp and herbal. You can't miss the lavender and rosemary which gives it a clean, almost soapy scent. 10:00 AM - Company arrives and the Chanel is pumping off a cool, yet earthy vibe from the vetiver and patchouli. 12:00PM - The party is starting to break up, but this work of art is still there, cool as can be. Another successful outing provided by the gang at Chanel! In the fougere realm, I gotta give it a 10.0 /10.0. 1:00PM - I run home, take off the suit and tie, and put on a golf shirt and blue jeans. 1:07PM - Wash off the remaining Chanel, give myself about 5 sprays of my recently acquired Amouage Overture and take the dog for a walk.

Wandering in Forgetfulness
I had a hard day today emotionally. It's been a rough start to the year with some big wins and some very deep losses and a lot of uncertainty about what the future holds. I think we all are feeling it, and it's translating on my side into fewer people wanting to spend money on things like photography for headshots and portraits and branding. On days like this, I try to remember the Taoist concept of "Zuowang" that roughly translates as "Wandering in Forgetfulness." The idea is to put yourself into a meditative state where you lose sense of yourself as an individual and forget about your worldly cares and desires in an effort to center and reframe yourself and your place within the universe. For me, that translates into wandering around physically, with no aim or plan, just pointing my feet in a direction, and losing my "self" in the experience of wandering and enjoying the here and now and what is entirely in front of me. Tonight, that led me into Louis Vuitton, LOL, where I finally sampled Ombre Nomad, Pacific Chill, Fleur De Desert, and Les Sables Roses. Ombre Nomad is by far my favorite here, and I get the hype surrounding it. It's beautiful, and I enjoyed getting to test it out. From there, I wandered into Neiman Marcus and found myself at the Creed counter. The lady was kind enough to introduce me to Oud Zarian and generously hit me with several sprays. My God what a fragrance. I made a vow to never buy Creed after reading Ghost Perfumer, but I have started to let that go with their newest fragrances post-buyout. The man responsible for much of the bullshit has retired, and the company is now run by other people and the perfumers who created these scents are receiving proper acknowledgement. It has me softening my stance, and Oud Zarian might be the fragrance that changes my mind completely. Cecile Zarokian deserves all the praise in the world over this scent. It is absolutely incredible. Oudy, chocolatey, smokey, resinous, but still somehow pleasant and bright with a little creaminess in the dry down. There's a licorice note in the base that is surprising and absolutely delicious. It's truly a masterpiece of perfumery, worthy of awards and deserving of the praise and hype being lavished on it. This might truly be one of the finest fragrances I have ever smelled.
