SOTD: Elysium Pour Homme Eau Intense Roja Dove
Good Morning Fragrance Family. It is shaping up to be an unusually warm one here in the Go, and after a busy day ahead I plan to soak up whatever is left of that sunshine with my faithful companion Boaz. Days like this remind me that even in a city like Chicago, where winter likes to linger and test our patience, we still get those moments that lift the spirit a bit. For my scent of the day I wanted something uplifting but still with a little body and character, so I reached for what I consider the grandmaster of blue fragrances in my collection, Elysium Pour Homme Eau Intense by Roja. This fragrance is anything but linear. From the first spray it moves through an energetic journey of aquatic freshness blended with woody depth, green brightness, and a subtle sweetness that carries a gentle floral touch. It manages to feel crisp and invigorating while still maintaining a sense of sophistication and weight. I thoroughly enjoy this one just as much as the original Elysium, which I also own for those moments when I want something a bit more restrained that will not overwhelm the room. But the Eau Intense version brings a bit more presence and character, making it perfect for a warm day like today. Performance is excellent as well. At six sprays the projection and sillage create a fantastic scent bubble without becoming intrusive, and the longevity holds strong throughout the day which is impressive for a fragrance built around freshness. On my warm weather scale this one easily earns a solid 9.0. Make it a great and productive Monday Fragrance Family. Stay blessed and enjoy the day.
