1. I kept two jobs to work my way through college. Because I refused to quit. 2. I walked seven miles to work during financial hardship post divorce. Because I refused to quit 3. Of four jobs I had during that hardship, I worked at our local hospital, County E911, City Police Dept, and County Environmental Department. Because I refuse to quit. 4. I now serve as the president of that City’s Council. I sit on the Board of Directors for that hospital and the E911 Center. I am also now the contracted County Director over Emergency and Environmental Management, as well as Homeland Security. I also serve on the Board of Directors for Energy Southeast which services municipalities Statewide and prepaid Electric services in over a dozen states. Because I refuse to quit. 5. I still get out and labor with the laborers, and I will scrub a toilet in my agency unless the janitor pulls rank on me. No one works for me; they simply work with me.
