I was recently fortunate to have been chosen as a giveaway winner, thanks to @Antonio O. Centeno ! So today I decided to wear my new fragrance as my SOTD. I'll just start off by saying the opening to Arrakis is absolute magic and I mean MAGICAL! It opens up with a photorealistic grapefruit note that is accompanied by ginger. They only list a 3 note breakdown, so I'll share what I detect to my nose. You may get something else, but this is how I perceive this fragrance. I get the grapefruit and ginger, and then amber and woods. The first 30-45 minutes of this are possibly my absolute favorite openings I've ever experienced for my tastes. I allowed it to completely drydown once and then sprayed 2 sprays every hour since, just to experience the opening and beginning of the drydown. I get a dry and subtle leather mixed with the ambers and woods, but there is still a subtle sweetness that stays the life of the fragrance. I went to dinner with several family members and work colleagues and multiple people commented on how nice it smelled. One even remarked that it was the best thing he's ever smelled and made me send him information on what it is so that he can buy it. If you're a fan of citrus, amber and woods and want to try something completely addicting and blind buy safe, this is it. I rarely ever say a fragrance is blind buy safe because of how different our tastes can be, but this is one that I can unequivocally say is blind buy safe. Have you tried this one?
