🚨 New Prada Luna Rossa Carbon EDP Coming For 2026
Prada’s Luna Rossa line is getting a new addition — Carbon EDP. This 2026 release takes the Carbon DNA in a darker, smoother direction with lavender, licorice, and cypress. The real question: can Carbon EDP beat the original Carbon EDT, or is the classic still untouchable? Which Luna Rossa is your favorite — Carbon, Black, Ocean, or the original EDT? P.S. Can you spot the mistake in this infographic? 👀

SOTD: Ana Abiyedh Rouge by Lattafa 05/07/2026
This is a warm, unisex woody oriental EDP launched back in 2016 by Lattafa; no single perfumer is officially named, which is standard for the brand. It’s said to be an affordable alternative to Baccarat Rouge 540, but honestly it has its own personality. Its softer, fruitier, and less sharply mineral than what you might expect from that comparison. “Ana Abiyedh” roughly means “I am white”, while Rouge gives it that richer, warmer twist. I went in thinking it’d just be another cheap clone, but it’s actually well blended and doesn’t scream synthetics up close, thos is good, solid value for money. It opens bright and juicy with Nashi pear, kumquat and bergamot, its fresh but not sharp or sour, just a nice soft fruity‑citrus start. That settles fast into the heart, caramel and geranium, sometimes with subtle hints of gentle spice, the caramel gives a smooth sweet warmth, geranium adds a clean herbal‑floral edge so it never turns cloying. The drydown is where it stays longest: ambergris, musk and oakmoss. That ambergris brings that familiar salty‑rich feel, musk wraps it cleanly around you, and oakmoss adds depth and a soft earthy finish. It evolves steadily, no weird jumps or chemical mess, just simple, consistent progression. Performance is easily one of its strongest points: I get 4 hours on skin, strong first 90m with a solid noticeable scent bubble, then stays close to the skin. On clothes it lingers well into the next day. It projects confidently but isn’t room‑filling or headache‑inducing, balanced enough for work or casual days, warm enough for evenings and cooler weather. In direct terms: way cheaper than the inspiration, softer opening, less sharp mineral bite. Great year‑round except maybe peak summer heat still works there but won’t hang around quite as long. At this price point it’s honestly one of Lattafa’s better balanced releases. My Rating: 5.5 / 10 Scent: 1.5 / 3 Longevity: 1.5 / 3 Sillage: 1.5/ 3 Y/N: 1 / 1

SOTD: Versace Eros Side-by-Side
Doing a side-by-side today with Versace Eros EDT and Eros Parfum, and it’s interesting how close they are while still giving off different vibes. The EDT (released in 2012, created by Aurélien Guichard) is the louder, brighter, more playful version. You get that big hit of mint, green apple, and lemon right away, with tonka and vanilla underneath. It’s sweeter, sharper, and definitely feels younger and more energetic. The Parfum (released in 2021) takes that same DNA and smooths everything out. The apple is toned down, the woods feel richer, and the vanilla is less sugary. It comes across more polished and more mature—less “nightclub” and more “evening out.” Side by side, I’d say the EDT is more fun and attention-grabbing, while the Parfum feels more refined and easier to wear in a wider range of settings. Same family, different ages of the same personality. Given my age, I'll choose the Parfum when my bottle of EDT is finished.
