Wearing one of my latest Full Bottle conversions today. The Matiere Premiere - Crystal Saffron Extrait. This is a great Warm, leathery/amber scent. While it's still cold here this centrally sets the mood for the day. The projection is big! I may have been noticed from down the hall with my office door closed 😬 but it still resulted in a compliment, so I'm taking it as a win!! Things definitely smooth out through the dry down and it sits on my skin very nicely and I get the what I call the "Reminder whiff" when I move the right way and am reminded of a great choice for they. But I will say there is a very fine line between pleasant and full Nuclear and that is about 1 spray too many. I did 2.5 sprays and am on the nuclear side!! I'm not apologizing but want to warn others!! Have a great day everyone!

I have a 5ml sample of this scent so here’s my take.. The opening hits with a bright burst of bergamot and tart pink pepper mixed with cool, resinous elemi, giving it a fresh yet spicy spark right out the gate. As it starts to settle, orange blossom and lily emerge, weaving into a soft, clean musk heart that feels airy and floral without being overpowering. The base then transitions into sensual musk, warm tonka, creamy vanilla and sandalwood, creating a smooth, slightly sweet and effortlessly wearable dry-down that lingers nicely. It’s that kind of scent that smells like freshly laundered linen kissed with gentle florals and a cozy musk warmth. Performance is solid 6-8hrs easily and it lasts well on my skin and clothes, projecting a soft but noticeable aura rather than a heavy trail. This isn’t sharp or aggressive; it’s elegant and clean with a creamy undertone that feels inviting. This works beautifully as an everyday scent or even as a signature scent if you like musky, floral-leaning fragances that drift close and feel intimate. It’s smooth, refined and perfect when you want something that feels fresh yet comforting and just a little luxurious. Overall rating: 8.6/10 I will purchase a bottle for sure even though I’d say this is unisex but leans slightly more on the feminine side than masculine but still anybody can wear. I do like musk in scents, as well as orange blossom and both feature in this, two of my favourite notes so it’s win-win.
